Indeed. Two major visible improvements for LSD is forehand loop and short game. It's so rare to see a young player with awesome power has such a good receive push.
i think the coaches really drilled it very hard this year, he has improved leaps and bounds in those 2 areas. Also he doesn't just go crazy with the BH loopkill anymore, it's a lot more controlled and much less unforced error prone.

Zeio just bashes everyone except Hirano tbh because somehow all her terrible performance can be easily covered up.
meanwhile, since on the topic of table tennis, all those he is bashing have achieved so much, that most of the tt countries have failed to achieve in the sport, especially on the women's side.
the only country Japan fails against is China and somehow chinese netizens think because CNT is king, makes them the right to bash others.

in my eyes, Ishikawa is one of the best players ever for us to witness in the past 20 years coming from outside of China. The new gen of kiddies taking on adult responsibility is also something that no country can produce - including the likes of the mighty CNT and how China themselves have a problem when we match juniors against that of Japan. China is a distant second now.

if one knows or seen how pros live (work) they lives, work more hours than the "biggest workaholic you know" and from a young life too, you would end up having respect for them a lot more.

Ito may not have the best attitude during recent times (just like Alexis Lebrun with his anger management issues), but Ito has been holding so much pressure a kid should never be required to hold. It is like 2 centuries ago when we require kid soldiers to go save the country and coming back with victories.

Training 51 weeks a year, with 1 week holiday. Less than 1 day off a week in those 51 weeks, and maybe the biggest rest is the traveling to tournament when you are 12 years old.... is not something even the likes of the zeios out there would ever understand.

Ito went through that ranks and came out top in her class.
I never really was a fan of hers, but I do respect her for achieving something that so many people I know in person, has failed to achieved.

and then netizens think they bullying will effect her.... she is a tough one, I tell you.

sport is about fairness, and if she wants to play and still go through, and can earn the call up to Smash, due to her world ranking abilities, over someone who is younger, but have not produce the track records on world rankings....then Ito should play on for as long as she wants, since we live in a world where you pave your own path, and things don't work base on a popularity contest.
