new chinese tactic courtesy of wang xiaotong (doubles)

whenever momentum is with the opposition, ask for a table wipedown. if iit happens again, ask to check the height of the net. what next? air too humid? panties too tight?

disgusting team culture; always looking for little ways to cheat and exploit the rules

You really need to stop this nonsense.

woah, what do you mean?
Stop writing stuff that shouldn't be seen on a global forum. You don't need to bring all your prejudices to a forum for us to consume. If you can't state or discuss such without denigrating other people who may or may not agree with you, just don't post. You don't have to make a player's competitive tactics about the country they come from in a nauseating way.

if you think that calling out skirting the rules constitutes prejudice, i suggest you pick up a dictionary sometime. i mention the country because china has a track record of this behaviour.

also, its pretty ironic how much you go on about (your view of) appropriate behaviour but cant make that point in a civil way instead of the self important manner in which you chose lol.

Hamada (Q) 2-3 Chen Junsong (Q) (-11, -8, 9, 4, -8)
A valiant effort by Hamada. CJS goes from a nobody at World University Games 2025 to a national hero for taking out 2 JNT players and preventing 3 JNT players in the QF.

Hayata (13) 0-3 WMY (2) (-6, -4, -5)
It's clear now WMY's poor condition was why it was close the last time. Hayata tried her ugly table tennis from WTTC 2024 but it got turned into crappy table tennis.
The prospect for Hirano, Hayata and Ito appears grim 3 years from now.

Hashimoto (11) 0-3 WYD (5) (-8, -3, -10)
Just a little over a month later. WYD goes from chop suey (from Cantonese 雜碎/a dish put together from leftovers which also means grunts) to chop-chop against choppers.

Hayata 2-3 WMY (7, -3, 9, -6, -7)
U for useless with her 捨身打法/suicidal playing style (can I just say 特攻卓球?), like with Togami.

The BH serve, a hand that was going to be saved for G4 or G5 was forced to be revealed in G3 to take the "false" lead, and if not for all those edges, it wouldn't have gone down to the wire. More scrutiny to come back at home.

WYD played really well this time. I think her improvements in this match while ultimately futile might lead to an improvement in her overall game.
It shows the CNT has been "profiling" Hashimoto. Will only get harder for Hashimoto but it also creates a good distraction for the other JNT women. Whether they could take advantage of depends how willing they are to cooperate as a team, which I think is at the lowest point in recent times.

You could see the seeds of it in how Wang played against Akula.
Yeah and Wang Yidi played the 3rd time in a short period of time against Hashimoto. The last time was 3:1 for Honoka but WYD won many long rallies the longer the match went on. Honoka won the last set just because of variation (3 or 4 points with the "aggressive sidespin strawberry push", don't know how to call it...), not because of her steady defense.

Is An Jaehyun called TTR for his own serve?
Wasn't he faulted first? then challenged it so the point won't go to WCQ.
The refs are really quick to call serve faults now.
Did you see the challenge Karlsson did againt LSD? I initially thought he was using TTR to challenge his serve that went out of bounds. Turns out he was faulted in the middle of his serve.
