Chuang Chih-Yuan from Chinese Taipei made an amazing comeback against Liu Song in the final of the Men singles Pro Tour at the Chile Open. The match took place on Sunday the 14th August 2011.
The number 2 seed Liu Song put Chuang to the limits as he took a 3-0 lead in tremendous form!

Chuang Chih Yuan now 30 defeated Liu Song (39 years old) by 4 games to 3 with scores 9-11, 6-11, 12-14, 11-9, 11-7, 13-11 and 11-3.
Eventually, the 30 year old prevailed against the 39 year old; Chuang Chih-Yuan recovered to win 9-11, 6-11, 12-14, 11-9, 11-7, 13-11, 11-3.
Chuang Chih Yuan quoted after the match, "It was very nerve racking out there. I have played Liu Song many times before and generally won> However in this final I went into it a bit tense and had to recover at 3-0 down. I would like to say I have enjoyed my stay in Chile and its been a fantastic tournament".
This is in fact Chuang's only second win of an ITTF Pro Tour. This is quote surprising taking into account that Chuang Chih Yuan takes on all the top players and is currently ranked at number 12 in the world. Chuang even reached number 3 in the world in 2003.

Liu Song pictures above has only had 1 other appearance in a Pro Tour Men's Singles final. Back in 1996 Liu was beaten by England international Carl Prean in the final of the Brazil Open.
