Hope you'll have luck with it.
Here many use the orange sponge too actually.
I guess a weird feeling about the orange sponge is that if I swing too hard or fast the ball gets slower. Like there is an optimum swing speed where the orange sponge has a kick effect. Hard to describe. Also I feel orange sponge needs even more open racket angle than BS.
Another interesting thing I noticed if I play with someone using a HL5 or similar speed blade with H3 I am super chill. Like they can't hit the ball past me from speed. Sure they can outplace me or whatever other way but can't do a 3rd ball kill. If it's a Viscaria then I am worried, it's much faster.
I'm legit scared from players with Primorac carbon and H3. Their ball quality is very high. Thankfully they suffer in other technical ways.
I think Viscaria or similar is probably the optimum blade for H3. Especially for not pro players.
I compared a 39 degree Prov. BS vs 38 degree Prov. OS yesterday on my AJH TMXi Pro blades.
The BS is almost six months old and easily played over 150+ hours. The OS was brand new and freshly boosted with a thin layer of Haifu yellow.
I agree with alot of what you've said. Orange Sponge is weird, it has more catapult and it is way easier to access the speed. But if I really went for it, it felt like the ball was slowing down. More power input didnt matter at some point.
With the BS, even though the boost is long gone and the sheet is old, the arc was longer and lower and speed was higher including a dip at the end. The BS is also alot more tacky.
I also agree that with OS I can make shots with "bad feeling" but good quality. I dont like the feedback of OS that much though I could get used to it I assume. It feels hard somehow, even on pushes, the ball bounces off quickly and there is a lack of tack, in comparison to the BS. But in matchplay, especially open up or third ball, my opponent struggled with receiving those. I guess it is a "bad feeling" for both sides
