No, I was satisfied with Hurricane 3 since I began using it. You get what you put. It's a technique issue, not the rubber
But he said that he used H3 BS nat, and he compared them directly and Kuai Man has much less tack. He was talking only about newer hurricanes. What are you talking about?

The first video is Hurricane Player edition glued to FZD Alc.
For comparison, not exact but I dont have spare blade for now, my used Hurricane National, which is much more tacky. With topsheet alone I can easily pick the ball. While glued to the blade, It was able to hold ball for 5 seconds.

Funny how a blade can make or break a rubber (and vice versa).

Before, I was disappointed by the mushy, lifeless feeling of my H3 Neo 37d both on Korbel and the inner fiber Limba topped Pro 05. I wanted to playtest my "Viscaria type" Pro 01 again and basically just slapped on what I had available. Was a bit apprehensive, because I had really grown quite a dislike, but on this blade it worked much better! Still not my cuppa tea but the difference is really big when you back this rubber up with a firm blade.

a question for hurricane 8 and 8-80 users:
i saw someone assembling a blade with H8 in one of those instagram videos, and his H8 came in one of those shiny purple cardboard sleeves and was also fully sealed in plastic inside the cover. i never used a H8, but the 8-80's i had so far only had the thin protective foil on the rubber playing side, but were not fully sealed, just in the cardboard sleeve. is the full plastic seal just for the H8 and not the 8-80?

About new Hurricane 3s, they are all fine, at least personally. It's an acquired taste and I don't plan to ever change it for forehand

The problem is the new H3s, they have a harder and not so sticky top-sheet. IMO I'm not so sure I like them better than a European hybrid.

its not sticky but it retains the playing property forever. mine is 6 months old, boosted twice, and still plays pretty great. thinking of doing a 3rd boosting lol.
are you referring to this ? it's seamed ball, feels a bit denser, exact same weight as the old balls (2.8g)

yes this! Do you think its worth the price (almost double)? is the regular DJ40 seamed too? those are definitely my favorite balls right now, but i want to try these new ones out.

It definitely is sticky, not sure what you are talking about. I had plenty of Hurricane 3s and for me, with proper care, they maintained their tack till the end of their lifespan. Obviously it wasn't as strong as out of the package, but enough for the rubber to do it's thing

I'm talking about compared to the old hurricane rubbers. People always post how the new ones are not as "sticky" as the old ones. Like out of the package, they used to be looking almost glossy...at least from what i saw in the pictures. now they come out of the package and they are tacky...but dont have that super glossy look.

but yes, my hurricane rubbers keep their playing property throughout the life of the rubber. the sponge doesn't, but the topsheet does.

I think it's not worth changing since seamed balls play pretty much the same, not that different when you switch from seamed <-> seamless

Hurricanes these days oxidize quickly. If you don't use protection sheets they'll lose their tack within a week. Use protection sheet though it'll keep the tack for the duration I use them for, which is ~3 months since I boost and that's about the time it's been reboosted enough that it's no longer useful.
