DHS Hurricane 3 versions in 2025

Hello. I have tried h3 blue sponge 40deg boost it 3 layers and after 1 month, no spin and tackiness, the ball just slips. I am very disappointed since it's not that cheap, and tried tenergy 05, haha. But, I want the tackiness of the dhs h3. that is why I am also looking for thread like this.

I don't know if I overboost it?
or accidentally drop a booster on topsheet?
or maybe I used cheap rubber cleaner??

Have anyone experience these?

Now, I keep on reading threads if what will I do now since I am so disappointed with DHS Hurricane, I am tired of boosting routine, yet as I have read in other threads, no other rubbers can be better than a boosted hurricane 3.
What version did you use? commercial/provincial/national?

How exactly and when are you cleaning your rubbers?

hmm, was it original? where did you buy it from? also what booster did you use of 3 layers? if you used national Haifu that you might use I think max 2 layers

Might be overboosted. Drops of booster on the topsheet should be easily visible because they would swell the topsheet (usually these areas go back to normal after a couple of days). Rubber cleaner? I've never used these on my tacky rubbers. Just water and occasionally a bit dish soap if there is to much dust or other stuff on the topsheet.

No spin and tackiness? Might be higher humidity/sweating combined with balls (Nittaku) that seem to be made specifically to not work with tacky rubbers?

I can find reviews in a nation of 300 million tt fans. If you can read Chinese, wealthy tt fans have tested these rubbers on Bilibili.

The 42 H3 has a sponge hardness of 41 and topsheet hardness of 43. The quality is so good that it feels soft, controllable and powerful as already confirmed by @Dan. Their topsheet is custom made. For example, Chen Meng's H3 has a harder sponge and a much softer topsheet.

But there's rumours that these commercial star H3 is not the same as the actual star H3 used by Ma Long.

I wouldn't waste money on them unless you're playing professionally and have sponsors.

That's funny, I was just right now reading about Xiom C55 lol

Yesterday I played with it again after a long time. My SDC W997 blade is now repaired so I glued used C55 and O7P - not new - I just want to squize some time from these rubbers now when the season is over... The C55 indeed has its merrits, the sponge is very pleasant, a bit less dead than chinese sponges like in H3, R9, DFVP, but still firm enough to support when we use power... But the top-sheet's durability is really sub-optimal... It is fair to say that the rubber is actually not cheaper than D09C... The rotation felt a bit less than D09C to me and to my training partner, that is also because the top-sheet is not new, but not older than 2 months... Also, it is not really light - but I don't have hard numbers this time, it's perhaps also because I left the old glue on those rubbers this time - the setup is 201g and the blade is 91g... I will continue playing with it for cca 1 month, because after the boosting/glueing job it is now hard to admit, that I should have thrown both of them to the garbage already ;-)

P.S. I hope to see you and all other Slovak and Czech TTD members, without exceptions, in this year's TT-forum meeting near Bratislava!

So i picked up a bottle of HAIFU National Yellow. I reboosted 2 of my Prov H3N OS (one is 40 degrees, had two layers of regular seamoon previously, other was 39 degree with 1 thick layer of booster).

These rubbers are ALIVE!! I think someone in this thread posted a table from the pong professor who rates all the boosters...and i would definitely agree with his assessment of the booster, that the national yellow is thicker and very sticky when it comes out of the bottle. Also that the regular seamoon makes the rubbers have a much more "MUSHY" feeling, especially if boosting too much, but the national yellow feels more crisp.

I was hitting some monster shots with my forehand last night. Some true rockets. Blocking was definitely improved, and to my surprise, the short game was not negatively impacted. i was still able to receive a lot of serves with a short touch. It did take me a couple games to adjust to the more powerful effect the booster had on my rubber...i had some shots that flew far off the end of the table during that adjustment.

I'll plan to use these two rubbers on my two viscaria blades for the next 6-8 weeks so long as they are performing nicely. Then i will finally bust out the blue sponge provincial H3N ive had in storage nearly half a year. i'm excited to finally try the blue sponge!
