DHS Hurricane King acB Review

I tested the blade yesterday with a very fast boost H3 BS. Looping, countering, blocking were insane. I loved it. Short play was very poor though.

One thing I'm disappointed about is that the handle has a defect, it's not symmetrical and I got bothered at the beginning. The handle is less confortable when I have the dragon in the palm than the plastic lens. But after some training, I was not feeling bothered anymore.

I would say Yinhe 01 is faster, but I don't have the same rubbers on both, so very hard to compare actually.

Ok, so I kept on trying this setup, and it went better for short game but still not as good as I want. I boosted so much that if I don't engage enough, everything goes out.

This setup is a counter loop machine, it's really impressive. The arc is lower than with my usual setup, but I can adjust most of the time. The only issue is the control in the FH. I'm eager to receive my new H3 and Skyline to test with only one layer of JieChi.

It's stronger than Seamoon yellow. Maybe 2x stronger? Hard to tell. It is 4x stronger than Loki booster.

JieChi Green for me.

I would not say better, because some might want something less strong to boost with more precision. It's stronger. I don't know what else there is to say.

I played my squad games yesterday with the acB setup. Everything happened like I thought :

1. I could not return serves as shortly as I can with my usual setup (Yinhe 05 + Arthur China). I lost again a kid 300 points higher than because of that. 20 times he served short, I tried to return short but the ball went to high and he could finish me off every single time. I had the same issue in double.
2. Everytime I was passive, I sent the ball out
3. Everytime I was attacking on the table, I marked the point. I won someone 200 points higher than me because he could not return my FH and BH loops.
4. The few times I tried, I could counter loop easily

Conclusion of this real conditions test :

• I will boost less the H3 and Skyline I will receive soon
• I ordered a second acB to test with my usual rubbers
• I will try the one I already have with Arthur China Blue Sponge and Gewo Inventus 47,5º.

Next competition is in 4 weeks, I'll have the time to refine my setup.

Your blade is DHS HURRICANE ACB right ? Have you played Viscaria ? If you have, how does DHS Hurricane ACB compare to Viscaria ?

I tried Viscaria once for a few minutes, and it was with too different rubbers (D09c), I can't compare, sorry.

I tested the blade tonight with a Arthur China blue sponge heavily boosted and a Gewo Inventus 47,5º. LAC BS behaves like the H3 Prov but with a different feeling. Hard to be more specific, I played only 2h tonight. Inventus feels like Superselect 45º, but the whole setup is faster than my profile setup. I don't know if it's the blade, the rubber or both. I'll know more when I glue SS 45 on the blade.

Tonight setup deserves more investigation. I begin to like LAC BS. JieChi totally transformed it.
