DHS Long 3 - Anyone using ?

anyone currently using the Long 3 . How is it in terms of speed and control vs Viscaria & vs Long 5

I used it 3 years ago, slower than the 2 above, control not bad, especially short game, but fh bh swap it's slower then above 2 also, defense very stable. Powerful shot and spinning loop, lack of speed.

Hi Ben - Thanks for the reply. I can understand Long 5 , however is it slower than BTY ALC blades like Viscaria/Timo/FZD ALC too??

very surprised ,as I had heard it is faster with large sweet spot.

Long 5 is different, I don't have long 5, I have long 5X . They are different with Long 3.

Played for a while (and still have) the Long 3. It is a 7-ply allwood blade. Despite being 7-ply it is relative thin and as a result more flexible compared to ALC blades. Speed is indeed much lower compared to ALC blades, however, topspins are a breeze and it produces real nice and fine shots. Viscaria (and alike) are more crisp and with the koto outer layer, also feel a lot harder.

If your gameplay is based on controlled attack with topspin, the Long 3 is a nice blade.
Personally, I think the FL handle is a bit too thin, especially in the middle section.
