Also im debating now, i think i should get a different rubber for my backhand, something probably softer, Im thinking either Genius Sound or Nimbus Soft what are your thoughts

but im open to suggestions, Possibly one of the mark V series, any of those will save me money

for backhand i would suggest t64 but if u r lookin for a cheap series howabout using tibhar rapid d tecs

I would tell you that there is no rush. You should take your time and do as much research as you can. With something like a good setup, you might as well do everything you can to try and make sure you get what you want.

Hello everyone. Im in a dilemma.
Im a newer player. not 100% sure on what my play style is yet. im definitely very offensive,
but my skill to make shots isnt equal to my knowledge. so a shot i would want to use i normally dont try cause im not confident in it.
i just need lots of practice. but back on topic

I just have a butterfly pre assembled 401 shakehand paddle. i dont have much money right now.

But ive been doing research and a bunch of stuff. and i will be assembling my own paddle soon.

i will be doing a combo special on paddle palace. and im stuck between the Donic Epox Offensiv, and the Tibhar Nimbus Offensive

This post is a few years old, hopefully you made a good decision for yourself but for those still looking for their next blade and have the Donic Epox Offensive on their list, here is my advice.

I have used both all-round Epox and Offensive. I like the offensive blade better, because it gives you more speed and power without much loss with control. You may have to adjust your angle but other than that, I find it very good for blocking, looping, chopping and smashing close to the table to medium distance from the table. I use C-1 rubber (9.7 speed and 9.7 spin), which has a nice strong soft sponge which gives it more control at faster speeds. It also makes the blade lighter thus increases your swing speed. The blade also works good with medium hard sponges too but it does makes the blade heavier, you may have to be more advance or practice for awhile with it so you can adjust.

I have also tested this blade with plastic balls, and it passed with flying colors. However, I found that the plastic ball is too slow for the all-round epox but it still might be good for those who are not that advanced. But if you feel your going to grow in the game, and your game is based on offense first, defense second then I would go with the offensive epox. It's truly a remarkable blade!
