Have Matsushima and Moregard won an Open by going through ZY, ML and ZJK? They didn't get their GS by getting through WCQ, so? They could've ended up like Harimoto being the finalist at USA GS 2025.

Did ML (and HS) care about the major medals when they identified Harimoto (and LYJ) as the best foreign player (and greatest threat to CNT)? Or FZD picking Harimoto as his most memorable matches at WTTC 2022 and Paris 2024?

More seriously, Truls must feel really, really bad. That said, Dima was really positive. Attacked very consistently. If he maintains that form, he is unbeatable. But it was also clear that the pressure got to Truls.

well … I did shoot Star Contender in Ljubljana, and did some sniffing around the blades …

Dima, that blade isn’t inner, its normal ALC, at least it looks like that.
Hugo, still uses HAL. from a very reliable source I learned that the rubbers he is using are still Xiom C57.5/C52.5, but sponge is purple to make them look like Joola. if that’s true or not, I don’t know …
Khanak was testing some different blades but all with FZD handle, as he prefers a bit fatter handle.
Yunsuke Uda uses completely custom made blade with G-Fless handle.
Freitas was actually using Freitas ALC and Satoshi Aida was actually using his Masamune.

Everyone knows Ovtcharov is weak over the table, yet Moqu, relying entirely on his 3rd shots, couldn't control the nearly 40-year-old Ovtcharov, who is no longer at his peak. Even our own mediocre players like Xiang Peng and Wen Ruibo could beat Moqu, and Chen Tu [Chen Yuanyu], if he weren't a slow starter, could've also won. This shows how weak Moqu's raw strength is. Dima was just very good with his backhand flicks and super consistent and powerful in the rallies, which he is in general, but even more so today. Anyone could've lost to Dima in that form.
The strange thing for me was Truls' serve/receive today; it looked off to me.

Dima was the underdog by some margin, I cant remember the last time he beat Truls. In such cases, there is a risk premium attached to playing that allows Dima to consistently go for it because yhe worst that can happen is that hr gets the same result he usually gets. In Truls' case, the underperformancr starts bringing thoughts of the home crowd, Grand Slam and points and World ranking etc. Though as a professional he might just have been astounded by Dima's quality and his helplessness facing Dima.

Obviously Dima is capable of that level for any one day but I strongly suspect if you trotted out the same players to play tomorrow, the result would be different and Truls would be readier for the level of aggression. You could see that when Truls gave up on the match somewhat and relaxed and Dima felt the pressure of the big lead, things flipped for 5 points in game 3. But ultimately it was too late.

How many of them would you explain using Champions Yokohama though? Franziska didn't go. Duda had already lost to Kuo before. Truls didn't go either. Dang did lose and if anyone has a case, given he played in Saturday and was playing here on Tuesday, it might be him. We will see more tomorrow. And i could be forgetting some players. Alexis and Jang did win for example.
