no I did not boost it, LAC's speed out of the box is enough for me. It was really good, I ordered another sheet to see if my first was faulty or not
Did you order off of Aliexpress or a lazada seller? Maybe the lot that those VN sellers are getting is substandard and that's why it's $5 cheaper than usual?

I bought it on Lazada, yeah I bought it from a China shop that's 5$ cheaper than usual. I'll order another sheet from the same shop again, if it happens to give me another bad experience, I'll give them a bad review then switch shops

I do not believe that our "Chinese brothers and sisters" (quoting HH Dalai Lama) are known for too much quality control. They are known to keep the best for their top players but otherwise I don't think they take time for more "grading". Think about the thousands of rubbers that are made daily, even if they would pay peanuts to some persons it would still be too expensive to do such a job. China is also trying hard to establishing themselves a producer of quality products so it is not in their interest
to send rubbish all over the world. Of course sometimes we do have to wonder.

I don't think I hit that hard, most likely I got a faulty sheet :( will try a second one and review later
I thought you had boosted, so 10 hours ago, when I applied booster, I was very cautious to not put too many layers on lol

What glue do you use?
how many layers?

I'm struggle to believe that the $5 cheaper equates to lower quality.

Loki wise, i'm only 6 months old, so I'm still learning
Of the dozen i've tested, quality been great
Of the 4 dozen i've sold the past 3 weeks, no complaints yet

So, please do share your findings.
Thank you

Just wanted to clarify I was the one asking if the Lazada seller was offering maybe lower QC rubbers. In VN we are able to buy discounted Chinese rubbers (e.g. LAC and Battle 2 Pro for $15) and I've never figured out why we're getting 25%+ off of Aliexpress prices consistently.

I use Winion glue (my fav now, super quality) - 1 layer on blade, 1 layer on rubber, that's it

I doubt they have any reason or ability to do this.

no, I did not apply any boosting, with Battle 2 NT I usually apply 1-2 layers and it still lasts me 6 months
Ufff, then it bubbled up too easily. Those are not even spots where a right-hander "should" hit the racket often, and pen players usually don't hit too hard either.

Though I did manage to losen the toosheet from the sponge on some edges because of extreme edge-hitting thanks to my godlike looping technique some times. So godlike the rubber couldnt withstand the godlikliness of my loops and try to flee...
Someone told me that smart hair leaves dumb head that's why we have bald people. Maybe I don't want to convert the analogy to the rubber 🙈🙉🙊

Probably @longle got a bad sheet, but hopefully not the badness made it good!!!
fair enough.
I am so comfortable using Rxton5 with just 1 layer of seamoon that the only reason for me to buy LAC will be that it might perform very similar to my /rxton5 but without the need for boosting at all.
The same is valid for the rubber that young Zwill here recommended, the" DingDong BS" 😁 Then of course both theses rubbers cost pretty much twice as much as the Rxton5
Come on maaaan, I can only accept hot women mentioning boosting, dingdong and my name in the same post!

yeeepes, some people can be so sensitive. Alright then "Dingtian BS" is the correct name.
Now don.t accuse me of saying that you were boosting a lot of hot women ;)

Oi, I have that glue too. My gf brought it from China along with their booster to me it is basically seamoon.
I think this glue works really well with Chinese rubbers.

You need something like Loki Arthur China, GTX, Yinhe Jupiter 3, Big Dipper, or Bloom Power.

Rxton 5 is also very Chinese.
I tried J3 and bloom power, J3 would be quite close to what I want (but it's on another blade currently), bloom power is too slow, although I only tried it on someone else's bat. I have a big dipper and battle 2 sitting around and I will get to those eventually

good to know. How about Loki 5? top sheet tacky tacky?
My red Rxton 5 has little tack. can't pick up the ball for more than 1 cm. If I drop a ball on the bat from ~20 cm, it bounces 4 times before catching the ball with its tack.

For reference, Sanwei target provincial 3 can pick up the ball, and the ball will bounce twice if I drop it. Presto Max Spin, being completely non tacky, cannot pickup at all, and the ball bounces 7-8 times on my bat.

Bloom power slow? That is odd. It was very fast for me

Could be the blade, I think it's a 7 ply. The AK47 red on the other side of the same bat is a lot faster. Bloom power has decent speed if I swing hard. Overall it is more Chinese than Hybrid for my taste.

quite the opposite, that's the spot where I broke all my Chinese rubbers. The upper area near the head is where we should hit to reach maximum spin. It should be the same for shakehand too

Hmmm, I have to say I don't know much about pen but if that is Xu Xin's blade then it's so strange. It's worn on the opposite side where I would expect. Ofc he is a lefty so I am taking it into account but still the opposite side.

For a righty shakehand player (FH) I say this would be about the sweet spot of the racket. I'm not saying this is all the fastest areas of the racket nor the sweet spot of the racket but depending on the shot I vary where I hit the racket.

it depends on your style, your posture, I guess you hit the ball a bit late, if you stay low and hit the ball sooner after it bounces, it will land in the upper area. It's not right or wrong, just experience and find the style you are most comfortable.
