Ah...got it now. For non boosted, I would recommend Sanwei Target National or Provincial. But they are priced a lot higher than LAC. Maybe I should try Loki Arthur China. What do people think about other Loki Arthur products like Loki Arthur Asia and Loki Arthur Europe?

I was mostly joking in that comment, since a large amount of conversation in all tt forums seems to be devoted to the 'boosted H3 feeling' without having to boost.

For me, I travel often to different countries and it's just not convenient to bring multiple rubbers, booster, and be in a small hotel room with booster fumes. Enough people have stated that there is no perfect substitute for boosted H3, and I believe it enough so I don't even want to get used to the feeling and get addicted to it. I'll probably wind up giving STN a try one day, but I still have 729 Bloom Power and now LAC to get through.

Yes please give STN a try. It is blue sponge, whatever that means. I have not tried blue sponge hurricane but the blue sponge on STN plays very well. I am just not using STN because it is not tacky enough (compared to H3) but it is definitely tacky! I think STN is tackier than say Big Dipper.

I noticed that you use Rxton 1 plus. Is it like a tensor's version of Rxton 1? I have Rxton 1, Rxton 3 blue, Rxton 3 pink and Rxton 5. I feel that Rxton 3 blue, 3 pink and 5 play about the same. Rxton 1 has a black soft sponge. I rather like it. But it is not bouncey enough so I am leaving it on my old 5-ply wood blade. Does Rxton 1 plus has the black sponge and is it more bouncey than regular Rxton 1? Thanks!

Tried both, they were both very heavy, and topsheet didnt seem that good, sponge didnt have enough power for my liking.

I was tempted to try out Loki Rxton 1 Plus from this video review here:

The sponge and maybe even topsheet seems completely different (my red sheet has a pink sponge). It's intended to be my foray into harder backhand control rubber and measures around 50d Shore O on the durometer. I want to get used to using full follow-through strokes on the backhand and this seems to be good for that. I only used softer sponge rubbers before (Fastarc S-1, C-1, Moon 12 Blue, Moon soft) which were all 40d to 45d.

The guys who reviewed it compared it to the original Rxton 1 in a follow up video and found the two to play differently. They said that the original Rxton 1 felt loose and shallow-feeling in comparison. I'm guessing that means they like the crisper feel of the Rxton 1 Plus.

I don't think my backhand is competent enough for me to do a good rubber comparison. So I'll just say that it plays as well for me as the C-1 and Moon 12, and I can perform BH chiquita and BH open up loops with it fine. I like it as much as C-1 and Moon 12. I like it much more than Moon soft and S-1 (which I don't like at all).

Great! thank you! I have been using Rakza 7 soft on my backhand on a carbon blade. I plan, on a separate carbon blade, but same model, put C-1 on it to compare. Maybe I will eventually try Rxton 1 plus too.

Yes I agree. Rxton 1 seems like a good rubber. Easy to control. I like the feel of it. But too soft and I kept hitting it into the net. I have noticed Rxton 1 plus on aliexpress but have not pulled the trigger yet. Thank you for your review.

In all of the Loki line, which one do you think will be the most similar to Glayzer09c/Rakza7 in term of hardness ? I tried Rxton 3 Pink on backhand but it's too hard, I need something softer, with more catapult

GTX Pro is the one most similar to these two and quite good for backhand. A bit fast for me, but otherwise good.

there are no "booster-fumes" with the oil based boosters, unlike the olde speed glue boosters which slowly boiled your brains

what about Arthur Europe and Arthur Europe diamond ? are they good BH rubbers ?
Well. Sure they are good backhand rubbers if you got the technique for it. They are faster. Arthur Europe is a bit tacky and Arthur Europe Diamond is untacky and faster. For me that don't have the best backhand technique, the GTX Pro is much better, but I prefer my Yinhe Big Dipper 38deg that is a tiny bit slower.

Never tried Diamond, but I didnt really like Europe.

Also these rubbers are already approaching German brand prices. So not sure if its worth it.

Agree. Booster has no fumes. And supposedly if you use Falco Tempo Long, the catapult effect should last for 2 months. I don't find boosting troublesome at all. I even wait 6 months to boost again. I am just that lazy.....

Same here, and wait, there is more. My tests have proven that in many rubbers there is indeed a residual boosting effect still there after 6 months or more. In the mean time , back in the jungle, the brain and the body will have adapted to the slowly decreasing boosting effect and as far as i am concerned : All is well, as long as you don't have to take on FZD or MaLong 😂

Yes, people have asked me, don't you noticed it being weird after 2 months when the booster effects wear off? I am like, no. Like you said, my brain and my body might have adapted to the booster wearing off.

Unfortunately I have some old sheet of ESN that is still not opened from the original factory package. I like to "plan ahead" in my EJ'ing. So for hurricane, I am now boosting three layers, 24 hours apart each time applying it. For all ESN rubber, one layer and that's it. I don't want to kill the ESN and risking it bubbling up either. they are a lot more expensive than Hurricane.

But so far so good. Boosting is not really an issue. But that is also I have four of the same blades so once a set-up needs to come off, I still have three other blades with hurricane on the FH and some ESN rubber on the BH side.

When I reboost hurricane a few months later, I think 1 or 2 layers are good enough. But 3 layers are necessary when it comes out of the packaging. It just feels livelier after 3 layers.

Of course we all demand different things of our equipment but it is true that 1 layer of seamoon on a commercial H3 does sweet f-all. 2 layers will start with the doming but it is the 3rd layer that builds the igloo, so to speak 😁
Rxton 5 has similar reaction, as it has a similar orange sponge as the H3.
However for me 1 layer of seamoon is enough for this rubber. It just softens the sponge a bit, making it possibly a 39-40 hardness, just the way i like it.

Thats good news but we need to be patient.
Today while talking with my agent about a parcel i mentioned our talk about their products here & the hype for the new Rxton 7/9 and also asked her if there was any new info on the production of the new Telson series. She asked the factory guys and they said that the Rxton samples will be completed in about half a month (im guessing final design samples after testing) but she couldn't give me a release date or estimated price yet.

As for the New Telson series she said: "for the development of products , we will cooperate with China's National team to conduct test first and then push them to the market" and also "450 & 475 are under test, but they have not been produced yet". her boss is still discussing its design, specs, etc. But she will keep me up with any progess :)

I feel that Rxton 5 is a tad harder than what I want. Are there other Chinese rubbers that you are happy with their hardness without any boosting?
