weird. everybody else says its quite powerful
It is but it is still a chinese style rubber and therefore very hard. So it is "harder" to generate speed with it.
But it is a little easier to active the rubbers potential than battle 2 bs for example. To remind you, the only reason i sticked to lac instead of b2 is the arc.
Not having to boost it is a convenience for me but not a real reason to put one over another.

I got a $5 sheet of Rxton 1 thinking it might be really good with booster. But after3 layers of haifu whale 2, its still quite slow. Its not terribly slow, but it didnt have the strong reaction to booster I was hoping for.
Yeah its a bit on the softer side so I don't think it plays the best with a whole lot of juice, mine felt best with two thin layers of seamoon, the third layer turned it into mush. My black sheets are also a bit softer than my red so that might make a difference

I tried it and was very disappointed with it. Before that, I played the backhand with an ordinary moon for a long time and I liked it until the ball changed. Moon speed came out as an update to Moon under a new ball, but it's a completely different rubber. I did not like the topsheet, it is matte, unlike the gloss on the usual Moon, and is not tenacious and not resistant - it crumbles around the edges. The speed is not bad - 80% of the Vega pro, but grip and durability are a shame. Compared to anything I've tried, it's most similar to Gold Arc5, with the difference that Gold Arc is more controllable.

Out of curiosity, did you remember the sponge color and hardness of the Moon Speed you used? From reviews, I'm seeing that people are disappointed with the Moon Speed with yellow sponge, but are happy with the red sponge version. Even seeing that at least one version of them has a glossier topsheet than AK47. I guess at this point we shouldn't be shocked at high variance in consistency between different batches in the same Chinese rubber.

My Moon Speed (soft) was glossy (and got totally destroyed by either water or air exposure, with proper care), and AK47 Red is matte.

Do you remember what the sponge color was? And how did it play before the oxidation problems started happening?

Thank you sir.

The sponge of Loki Arthur China is harder or softer than DHS Hurricane 3 Neo commercial version.
True but it doesnt feel that hard with decent strokes. Overall H3's, even boosted, felt way more linear in my experience than LAC, which is way more dynamic.

It has a red sponge. I it found to be great for punches, as it is quite speedy, and has a decent spin. Nothing to write home about honestly. Compared to AK47 Red, Moon Speed was faster, significantly less spin, but grippier on soft strokes so it was easier to open up rallies with my BH.

Does that mean the Moon speed has a harder sponge?

Global Sports Store on Ali is selling Moon 12 for around $15 USD if anyone is interested in trying it.

Only available in M+ and H- though.

Currently using this on by BH and it's one of the easiest rubber to use that I have tried in terms of blocking and control. Everything just goes on the table , even when I'm out of position.

Rxton 1 was on sale for $5 with free shipping on Ali, so I just got one to see if it boosts well. I love turning lame rubbers into monsters with some good boosting.

I was worried that there would be hardness problems like with the Rxton 5. But the Rxton 1 seems quite firm and solid. Let's see how well Haifu Whale 2 works on it.
Yinhe Mercury 2 is pretty beastly when boosted. You should give that a shot. Only the medium sponges are available now. I'm guessing someone bought up all the hard sponge sheets to boost. No way to tell before getting it, but the heavier the sheet is the better it plays. I've had maybe 3 sheets that weigh 65g and 3 sheets that weigh 60g. The 65g are sigifnicantly better.

Good idea

While there are a few new Yinhe rubbers appearing at some times, I clearly miss the opportunity to buy more Yinhe Sun with medium sponge hardness (I installed a pair of them on Yinhe Mercury Y13, which seems to be a good fit). I was fiddling around with various Yinhe rubbers, and I think, Sun is a relatively good one (clearly better for me than the classic sponge Moon). The pimple structure is fairly odd (I have never seen so large pimples under the sheet so far), but it can generate fairly kicky shots on forehand.
I will definitely buy this blue Moon sheet to see, how it compares.
