Definitely test the GTX in the 3 stages of my recipe!
Ok! i will test it like that :)
Did you also get the Koto surface Inner zlc blade? I was so curious about how this plays. I think its called Arthur Pro Zlc
No i didnt, the only "premium" blade they send me was the w81 pro with blue alc (whose value covered the package delivery cost by itself bty) The other are the 5 blades of the "Violent" series. The carbon ones have "soft carbon", the V9 specially looks & feels really good, more so considering its retail price!

Gtx is amazing. Firstly it has such a strong reaction to booster. It completely transforms into a speed demon. The topsheet is tacky and grippy and just looks amazing. It has the feeling of producing unlimited spin.

And with the baby oil, it gives a great hold on the ball. You hold the ball on the racket for ages then launch it out like a rocket

Has anyone tried some boosting on the LAC?
Could it affect the durability?
How would the playing properties change?
My LAC has also chipped on a corner and i have 2 new ones coming in and and I am curios how I could change it up a little.

Well after a long wait due to customs delay, my loki samples arrived.
They send me 6 blades & 12 rubbers!

View attachment 26353

So far I only tested the blades, they have pretty good finishing & quality with sanded wings. They all match the spec sheet in weight & thickness.
In play i only tested the W81 pro AL. the carbon looks like blue alc, it weights 88g, 6.2mm thick & main frequency measured at 1430hz. The blade feels really good and balanced. to test it i used boosted h3neo & h3neo 37° to match my brother viscaria setup. Both play & feel really similar with this combination even though w81 has Limba outer ply & ayous inner+core , quite fast, it has good catapult and easy to generate spin, clear feeling & support mid distance. No vibrations, easy to be agressive.

The LAC they send me has this packagingView attachment 26354
Sadly they send me a Red sheet, i wanted to test & play with Lac on FH & Rxton 3 pink on BH :ROFLMAO:
What combination do you guys suggest me to test?
Put the GTX on backhand and LAC on forehand :)

For his own sake i would do it the other way around. Even boosted i couldnt make decent use of the GTX on bh.
Lac on the other hand is easy to make use of with a bit more motion than just wrist action as you could go for with tensorrubbers.

I really liked the GTX on backhand, but it's not very forgiving so you got to hit the ball right :)

Suree my idea Is to test all combinations to decide what to import. I can test them but they are both Red so i cant use them on competition 😔

You are probably right, i also dont have the best BH 😅 but i can play decently at my level if it has good balance between control/spin & speed an Is somewhat forgiving.
I also have other players that can test them that have different skillsets and preferences.
What do you think are good combinations to test and suits different levels (for example to make a begginers blade)? I have this rubbers:
Red: LAC | GTX | Rxton 5 | Arthur europe | Rxton 3 | Rxton 3 pink & Blue

Black: Rxton 1 | Rxton 1 Special | T3 pro | Arthur asia | Arthur europe diamond
Of course i can mix with rubbers i have from other brands.

No rxton 7 & 9 news yet sadly, im hyped waiting for @Tony's Table Tennis review of Rxton 9 since he seems to like it:love:. im looking foward to know if its designed with boosting in mind (since its suppose to be a h3 national alternative) or it performs more like LAC etc.

I've used the R9 for 2 weeks now.
Will start filming the usage soon and put something together.
Just one issue is that Loki does not have a release date and since I am an official partner, I may not be able to release info prior without their approval. So, I will still work on my video, and then will chat with them in due course (my latest update from them was today!)

I am enjoying it both on FH and BH. I currently have it on FH (my cpen fh cut makes it more comfortable), and if I flip the sides around, the BH side is not cut, so it hurts my fingers, so any problem BH usage now is a bit flawed. I will also stick it on my BH side to compare.
But as is, I like it on BH side too and since my sample is red, I may actually have fun with it on the BH side, since my Pink is aging.

Hi Tony, I used Pink on my FH, and I am planning to upgrade to LAC, do you think LA Europe will be a better upgrade, if I want a faster, longer trajectory FH rubber? Thanks.

When I do samples, I test them all unboosted.
then I will boost them if I feel there is a need.

I suggest you first test your sample rubbers on your own blades (Blades you are familiar with), this way you can understand the rubbers first.
Then pair your rubbers on sample blades

Hi Hclnnkhg
if you want longer trajectory, you can boost LAC and it should help a bit (have you boosted yet?)

With them knowing my preference is H3, they told me don't bother testing LAE.
So I haven't tested LAE, thus I can't comment on it, but by theory, it should get what you want.

LAC sponge to me is a bit brittle though, so i'm not sure how LAE would be like.

I will test them like that, all the rubbers i tried i use my 2 personal Korbels to get good reference, looking for suggestion of posible combinations for different levels.

@mattlamperouge

I guess I should leave all my "comments" on my youtube channel (and not here), and get everyone here (who is interested in Loki) to come and talk on youtube.... since I need traffic there, lol
Thats a good strategy lol i really like the "Talks" format, and of course Reviews i think are easier to get views & comments. Shorter videos with specific exercises done by the Young elites +simple explanations would get traffic too i assume, but maybe they need to be condensed on shorter videos. :)

I haven't tried LAC yet, I was happy with Rxton 3 Pink but I found that its top gear is not that high (of course, my technique is the main reason). I will try LAC first. By then, Rxton 9 may be out :)

What exactly are your baby oil + booster steps?

GTX Tuning Recipe
Stage 1 - Apply glue on GTX and on blade, glue to blade. Unboosted, I found GTX to be a bit deadish, had a kinda weird feeling, and not particularly easy to control. But I wish I could re-test this stage to remember the original feeling.

Stage 2 - Apply 1 or 2 layers of Haifu Seamoon to GTX and wait 8 hours or overnight. Apply glue to blade and stick GTX on. Boosted, I found GTX to react very strongly to booster and become very fast. But I distinctly found that there was no control and not enough dwell time or hold on the ball.

Stage 3 - Apply 1 layer of baby oil to GTX and wait 8 hours or overnight. Apply glue to blade and stick GTX on. Tuned with baby oil, I found that GTX keeps its high speed but adds a great amount of dwell time and hold on the ball. Instead of bouncing off quickly, the ball stays in the rubber for a long period before launching out with great spin and control.

This is what magically worked for me. I have a feeling Stage 2 and 3 can actually be swapped, but I have never tried that.

Also, isn't it a bad idea to try to boost LAC given all the bubbling problems we have seen? If you boost it, wouldn't it bubble even more easily?

I will try LAC maybe next month or so. Then I want to make a "tier list" of all the top Chinese alternatives to D09c.

For a beginner use the Rxton 1 and an allround 5-ply blade or similar. I haven't tried the Special, but all the others might be hard to use for a beginner.

i will test the special on korbel first, the V5 they send me tested a bit higher frequency than my 2 korbels at 1277hz, i think i can make a good balanced blade with the v5 and Rxton 1 & rxton 3 based on reviews, what do you think?

Unboosted, I think LAC is a much stronger pick than GTX for spin and control. For me, GTX is actually pretty fast and springy, GTX is more automatic in driving blocking and smashing, but it feels like it doesn't have the strong grab or pronounced arc flight that is characteristic of Chinese style sticky rubbers which made me overshoot a lot when trying to attack. GTX also feels softer and less stable, whereas LAC has a meatier and crisper impact feeling
