I am still baffled why Haifu stop making ITTF approved rubbers. Maybe the seamoon oil is selling too well and they lost all kinds of ambition.

ITTF banned Haifu all together
but the only thing they could hurt them would be the LARC or ball or table/net

Haifu is no where near the quality of H3 #22 National, if it was, more Chinese users would have used it

I had the old T3. Im tempted to get T3 speed...but yeah the rubber wasnt very grippy.

I actually think you are right. A week back I checked out some Tao bao prices vs Aliexpress prices. I didn't see a BIG difference at all. Pretty comparable, and sometimes Ali was cheaper.

I will get Rxton 9. I think domestically H3 prov BS is about 200 RMB, same range as Rxton 9.

How do you like the Rxton 1 Plus on your FH btw? I was using it on the BH but it was pretty hard to use. I had to use a really big swing to get the ball over the net. Good for practicing a full stroke I guess but not very practical when playing. I measured the sponge hardness at 50d.

I'm currently using Battle 2 Pro (orange sponge) so that I force myself to brush more with the FH. Would using Rxton 1 plus instead on the FH have any advantages? I've still got a lot of life on the rubber so I don't want to just abandon it completely.

It works ok for me on the FH, but it feels relatively soft (feels softer than Rxton 5). It is a easy to use with limited ceiling kind of FH rubber. Usable but Rxton 5 and Rxton 3 pink are better for me on FH. Maybe put it on a blade that you feel is too fast.

I've tried Rxton 5 and Rxton 3 blue so I'm familiar with those. Maybe it was due to the 3 layers of baby oil, but Rxton 5 got very soft and mushy on me after less than 20 hours of use. It measured only 48d on my durometer and I didn't feel like reboosting it when the sponge lost its liveliness. But I really liked it for the month or so after the baby oil boosting. I got more spin quality out of it than anything else.

Rxton 3 blue I liked a lot for driving and flatter hitting. It made a great cracking sound and the ball quality was high where my coach had the most trouble blocking it back. But generating spin with it was tricky. The topsheet felt too stiff and brushing with it resulted in a kind of metallic rubbing instead of the grip and hold I get from something like Battle 2. Measuring from the topsheet was 52d and 51d from the sponge, so that tracks with the topsheet stiffness.

I'll give the Rxton 1 Plus a shot if it really is easy to use since I'm looking for more consistency. I like the Battle 2 but it's a bit unforgiving for a beginner like me with the low and long arc when I put power behind my swing.

I didn't boost any of mine so maybe that's the difference in our experiences. I also won't expect zero fluctuations in the sponge hardness of a 10 dollar rubber. I think for Rxton 1 Plus, either you put it on FH unboosted or keep it on BH and boost a little bit to make it more bouncy.

Did you try Rxton 1 special? I want to test it on BH but im debating if i should open it or sell it sealed to a beginner.
