I measured the hardness, and its like 57d on my durometer. So, indeed nice and hard.

Has anybody tried boosting the LAC? How does the rubber respond to booster?
i got the same stamp on my LAC. Havent tried boosting yet, but i feel it doesnt need it, its a bit bouncier & easy to engage than seamon Boosted (& reboosted) H3N comercial 41° & also Reactor Thunder. Test it first, I think speed is enough, even easy to use on BH. i guess it depends on each player preferences & what blade is glued on.

I really want this rubber to be a good substitute for D09c. Thats why Im even willing to boost it if it improves performance. But i havent even tested it unboosted yet, so im still early.

I feel the GTX boosted is a fantastic substitute.

It is not even close to D09c but i never boosted mine and got rid of it as soon as possible.

Well i finally tested LAC today directly against D09c and G09c.

I find LAC is very hard and spinny. It feels like it can just hold the ball and generate unlimited spin. All my loop shots feel very high quality with this, strong arc, good depth, high spin, high power. It feels spinnier than D09c it seems.

The basic hitting speed is average, not fast, but not dead. The looping speed is very good. Loops are quite fast, and only slightly slower than D09c or Jupiter 3 and GTX. Actually Jupiter 3 is more similar in function to D09c and LAC is more similar to Boosted H3, being more spin oriented.

This rubber is very very good. I wish it was just slightly faster, and i wonder if booster would achieve this result. But Im worried about bubbling issues to boost this. But maybe i dont hit hard enough as @longle does to worry.

Maybe a thin layer of seamoon to soften the sponge a bit since you got the same 41° as me. I wouldnt try to get a extreme dome. Just a small amount to make it softer if you want More bounce. I feel its a good mid point between a really well boosted H3N & D09c/K3. Did yours get a little More bounce after playing for a while/loosing some tackyness to normal levels?

Yes, I tried looping with it brand new, and then I tried looping with it again at the end of the session.

Yes, I would agree it feels like a hybrid between H3 and D09c.

It "seemed" slightly faster to me at the end of the session, and I was satisfied with the looping speed, but I can't say for certain it didn't just seem faster because I was expecting it after what you said. haha

Have you tried boosting it? Last time I tried just putting the thinnest layer possible of booster onto Victas Triple Double, and it still bubbled after a couple days.

Why did you get rid of it?
two reason.
First, I bought it as a possible replacement for rxton5 as I was told LAC was great even without boosting ............................it isn't.

Second reason , my coach wanted it and so i pulled it of my blade and sold it to him. 😂

I didnt try boosting, it just feel right as it Is. Maybe later i would test. Keep in mind for Bh i was using (heavy) boosted tornado v5 before, and also boosted H3 37° & boosted skyline 39° before that. A couple years ago i was playing with tenergy 64 since that was the rubber my brother had when he gift me the petr korbel but i didnt has good BH technique to use it well.

I boosted it with whiff of FTL, it helped it a lot actually. I liked it after boosting even more. But then it bubbled up.
Did the booster accelerate the bubbling? Maybe tho I really just used super thin layer of FTL. I'm fairly certain it would have bubbled up anyway maybe just a few trainings later.

I will ask now so it wont come up later!
It might seem obsolete but I dont wanna mess up!
It says there is a glue layer on the sponge, so just like H3 Neo.
I think the rubber needs to be boosted, just like H3 Neo.

Will we have to remove glue layer?
How is the "ideal" glue/boost process for Rxton 9?

Thanks in advance!

@Tony's Table Tennis

I wouldnt remove the layer, because they are usually quite thin and removing will most likely damage the sponge. Just boost right on it, or put another layer of glue first.
Depending on how hard you boost, both should be fine because it is not a 2.2 rubber.

It looks quite beautiful but the description is pretty thin. Probably gonna wait a bit until i press the buy because.

The same. This one was mine.

Yup, I am. LAC can't take it and I used it with W968 so not a particularly hard or stiff blade either.

I dont want to jump the bus too soon, but i switched back to my Yinhe Pro 01, because my bh shots with LAC on Sword Vsea lacked some punch and i usually flip almost every server that is not full underspin. Often times that gives me a huge edge, but that wasnt really the case with the Vsea. The outer ALC fixed that issue quite well. And around 20hours in, both sides LAC are still working fine.
We will see if that remains this way.

Many thanks for the tip, went for it. It will take time though, before I test, slow in this.

The glue - I don't know yet, will depend how much I like it. Also not sure yet if I'll boost, but if I will, then I do just 1 thin layer nowadays, because I prefer similar behavior for longer time. Others do more. Cheers.
