Fastarc G-1: lightweight alternatives

This user has no status.
I have a Fastarc G-1 in my backhand, which I quite like, along with a Nittaku H3 Turbo Blue, which I also like, but it's very heavy, and I don't want to change it. That's why I was looking for an alternative to the Fastarc G-1 that's lighter, with similar durability and features. Any recommendations? Sorry for my poor writing; I don't speak english.

Get the same blade but lighter? Or hit the gym and get used to a few grams more

The thing is, I bought a Yinhe V-14 Pro a few months ago and wanted to try it with these rubbers, so I don't think I'll be able to buy a lighter one again. I already train, so I'll have to adjust my routine to get used to them.
What blade and weight do you use?
I currently use Tibhar Stratus Power Wood, but I don't know their weight. The idea was to try those rubbers with a Yinhe V-14 Pro that I already own, but I don't have anything to measure the weight with.

How about Turbo Orange instead of Turbo Blue? Its lighter, and despite being softer and less powerful than Turbo Blue its still a hard and sticky Chinese style rubber.

As for backhand, maybe check out Glayzer or Mantra Pro M. I think G1 is more supportive and has more spin when you are hitting more aggressively but Glayzer is better in block and punch and Pro M is bouncier and easier to activate

I like how the Turbo Blue plays, and I have no way of trying the Turbo Orange to see if I might like it.

I already tried the Glayzer briefly, and I didn't like it. I felt like the ball didn't stay on the rubber long enough, it didn't have enough spin, and the arc was very flat and long. Do you happen to know the approximate weight of a Mantra Pro M compared to a G-1 in the average head size of a racket? How does the Mantra Pro M play compared to the G-1?
Go the T05 but with a thinner sponge. You will also gain the advantage of it being better at dealing with slow spin as the G1 is slips
Okay, I'll consider it, but what's the durability like of the Tenergy 05?

Not as good as the G1 but basically nothing is. I am new to the T05 and the T05FX (H3, D09C and G1 background) and lots of players play with the T05 at my club. General view is if you look after it, it will last.

The T05FX is very light. I have it on my BH as I wanted to try both the T05 FH and the FX version. Very light setup. The T05 from my experience is what the G1 dreams about being. The FX has been an interesting experience for me. It is like I am literally throwing the ball where I want it and can be over the top aggressive with it. I found against players that make the ball bounce just a fraction you can just smash the living daylights out of it. Kinder funny.

I wasn't sure about the T05s with all the talk that they are hard to control. Experience is different for everyone and for me it basically fixed all the things I didn't like about the G1. Important to note that I am not a passive player....I never make contact with the ball with a stationary blade and I find the T05s likes this and it eliminates any spin sensitive issues that everyone seems to go on about.

Something to be aware of for the future is you can purchase blades to specific weights as well. Something a lot of people do not realise. I don't need extra power so I go a light blade option to help with over the table and general hand speed.

My current sheets of pro M tend to weigh around 44-45g and my G1 2.0s have been around 47-49

Pro M no glue

I don't have any regularly cut G1 to compare at the moment

I'll keep that in mind. I'll ask around at my club about the T05 and Pro M to see if anyone has them and I'll try them out.
G1 has rather normal weight where you can almost not really save a lot, while h3 Turbo blue is one of the heaviest rubbers out there. Changing it to anything else will save you more than any g1 change
That's true, the problem is the weight of the Turbo Blue, but I don't know if there's a similar Chinese rubber that plays similarly without a booster. I understand there's the Turbo Orange, and I'd like to try it, but nobody at my club has that rubber to compare it to and see if I like it.

You don't have a kitchen scale?

It's important to know blade weight with & without rubbers to know about speed & control, so the kitchen scale is needed for now & future, money well spent.

N.B. Tibhar says 85gr so not heavy.

There are plenty of new hybrid rubbers which play wonderfully and have much better weight. You can even go with 2.0 mm and still have good Support.
Nuzn50/55, k3, j2/1, etc

For some reason, and unfortunately not

I'll keep that in mind, but I'm interested in durability, and I've seen comments that the durability of most hybrid rubbers is average to terrible. I know that, according to reviews, the Rakza Z and Z Extra Hard rubbers have good durability. Do you have any idea how they play compared to the Turbo Blue? Or if you have any suggestions for a hybrid rubber with good durability, let me know.

Nuzn55 is heavy though and K3 has terrible durability. J1 and J2 also have bad durability but it is better than K3. Much 55 last a long time

Rakza Z series are less powerful. They are very durable but kind of slow. Rakza Z would be far softer and even the EH version is softer than the Turbo Blue, Turbo Blue is the hardest rubber I have ever tried, harder than 41 degree Hurricane. Both are good rubbers in their own right and both are lighter than Turbo Blue, out of the 2 of them I think EH would be closest to Turbo Blue

If you want to keep the same thickness, the closest option is C-1, which has the same pip geometry as G-1 but with a softer sponge at 35 degrees as opposed to 37.5 degrees. It will have slightly different feel and ball trajectory.

T05 and D05 are actually the same weight and only slightly lighter than G-1. You'll need the T05 FX. Rozena is only slightly lighter than T05. Glayzer is also about the same weight as Rozena.

Minor correction. G1 is actually 47.5 degrees and C1 is 45 degrees

I like how the Turbo Blue plays

So do I, but there are rubbers that play quite similar to it, like H3 H41/H42 or Rxton9 40,5, and are signif. lighter.

Imo, you'd save more weight there than you will be able to save on the BH...
