Off topic: squeezing in as we'd have more similarities on sources

Do you guys still dabble on 5ply all wood?
I started with viscaria ALC until I developed my strokes. It was really hard and my learning curve was longer compared to others who improved faster and maybe it's because they started with an all wood blade with better control while viscaria was too fast for a newbie like me but trust me as long as u work hard for it you will definitely improve.

true. developing strokes are better with allwood, as people I played with (rarely) stated. I stayed with Clipper as good for learning & developing - and yes control is felt. Also had some carbon blades, that I eventually sold as most if not all people said stay away from cabon ~ inner carbon maybe just a big maybe. lol

Looking into 5ply allwood, as I wanted to try maybe as a test blade and a main blade as well, as there 5ply I want to try ~not needed tho.

i have the same interest but with 7ply.

those new(?) all wood blades from Meteor in Lazada looks very tempting. QA

Based on some folks I talked to before, innerforce blade is also good for developing players. Of course u have to pair it with a good rubber which not too fast since it still has carbon in it. They say it has a wood feeling but when u do full swings and activate the carbon inside then you'll have enough speed as well to win points. I already got used to my viscaria and what I figured out was to pair it with rubbers that are not too fast. (rakza 7,mantra M,fastarc G1). It works for me so I hope y'all get the setup u need/want.

I see. May I ask what is ur current setup and what is ur dream setup.
Current Setup:
Blade: Sanwei HC-1S
FH: Volant Phoenix 40° (I have an incoming random version of Sanwei Target to try)
BH: DHS Goldarc 8 50°

Dream setup would be a custom blade (Hinoki top with Inner ALC) with various rubbers (there's quite a few always releasing so it's hard to settle)

Pretty Happy with my Blade and BH, would've gotten another GA8 at 47.5° for BH and use my current 50° for FH but I'm waiting for the price to drop again.

I've always wanted to try Yasaka and Butterfly but prices are too high.

Nice setup.

I currently use Butterfly Kenta Matsudaira ALC with 3pcs Nittaku Side Balancer on the top left side of the blade.
FH: Double Fish Dragon Shadow Spin 40°
BH: Tibhar Aurus Soft
Was previously just using Banda SF Carbon (Fang Bo's signature blade) with
FH: Xuperman National
BH: Stiga Mantra Pro H.
Stopped using this setup as I gave the Xuperman to a friend since it was just giving to me anyways by another friend,

I found the Kenta previously to be a bit lacking in power hence me moving to inner ALC but by simply adding weight to the blade works wonders. Really happy with the Dragon Shadow Spin rubber and it's cheap :) Even the Dragon Shadow Control seems promising, it plays just like a Xiom Vega Asia H imho with a porous sponge and the sponge is even black just like Xiom! haha. I play almost everyday at Robinson's Otis. Will be playing at Fairview Terraces on Wednesday!

I can help you get Yasaka Rubbers at a lower cost and Butterfly... Well sometimes only since I don't get much cheap butterfly.

wow, Dragon Shadow Spin sounds very promising, Fell in-love with the Vega Asia when I was in Highschool, with the smaller ball back then i had ridiculous BH loops (at least it felt like it)

I actually wanted to visit and play in Otis once, since I had something to do in Manila that day, but I didn't know what to ride and didn't want to do Angkas lol. (I was at SM Manila)
