First time boosting H3 rubber - ruined?

Hello,

this week I had my first attempt at boosting H3 orange sponge provincial rubber;

I was using 2 layers of Haifu yellow booster which I spread like a layer of glue, waited 24 hours and then applied another one and waited for 4 days before gluing on blade, plastic protection sheet was left on the rubber during that time.

After gluing a rubber on blade I have noticed a patch that seems like a micro bubble perhaps - does that mean that rubber is ruined and unplayable now, any opinions please ?

Nah, it's all good. You are not hitting the ball at that spot, so your rubber isn't ruined.
Thank you for the reassurement, I already had Tenergy in my shopping cart out of rage and desperation :)

Glad this doesn't look like a total disaster and is still playable.

Btw, any idea why this happened and how to prevent it, I was under impression that 2 layers are modest boost ?

I have now seen on youtube that some people put a layer of glue on the rubber before boosting - does that decrease the chances of booster reaching the topsheet and causing damage ?

Nah, I've spilled booster quite a few times even on the topsheet, it'll straighten back up in a few days probably.

Just take that Tenergy out of your shopping cart.

Two layers are basic. Rarely will you see H3 bubbling like that with just two layers. Either you got a bad batch, or maybe some oil got on the topsheet. If it's the former, you can only blame your luck. If it's the latter, keep the plastic covering when you boost it.

Nah, the sponge is just stretched so much that the glue bonding the topsheet and sponge can't hold it together anymore. It has nothing to do with oil reaching the topsheet.
