So 7mm is the thinnest, what about the maximum upper limit for playability? 11? 12? 13 or 14mm? ...

7mm is usually thickness for either dual sided penhold blades (Sou MF P). The negative is they split easier, but this is still rare.
9mm is usal thickness for below flagship blades from top manufacturers if penhold or the flagship thickness for shakehand (any thicker and the racquet will struggle with overall thickness (17mm total thicnss with max rubber)
10.5mm is full thickess for penhold flagship blades such as KTS and RSM and is very fast.

To my mind, the maximum can be 11mm because 10,5mm are around 100/107g . Each millimeter adds between 4g and 7g so 11mm can weight up to 114g.

So I think that 12/13/14mm… are not playable Bea cause of the heavy weight and high stiffness. Also it I think that it will be not comfortable to play with.

This question may depend on the size of the hands of the person wielding the blade and the amount of weight he can handle in his blade/rubber setup.

Hello,

Thank you for your interest 😊

A Kiso Hinoki blade costs 350€ and 20€ shipping to England. This price include the custom made service. So you can ask me whatever you want within reason 😅

Here is the link to my website : www.lateliernblades.com

The English version should be out soon, but you can use Google's automatic translation, which is already great😊

Have a good day 👋🏻

A nice piece of Hinoki blade. Hard to find these days.
Thank you 😊

I don't currently have any, but I do have some in transit from Japan.

I hope to receive them by the end of June.

I could make almost a hundred of them.

But after that it will be impossible to have any in the future.

How much do you charge for a 10mm blade with flared handle? Thanks

All 1-ply blades in Kiso Hinoki are between €350 and €380 depending on quality + shipping

This includes a made-to-measure service at no extra cost. If you want a particular design, a specific shape, etc.

Of course within reason 😅

Amazing blademaker who listen to his customers. I own one 1ply, the quality is incredible. To this day, it's the blade I have the best feeling with (and I had my best results with it so far)
Power of a composite blade but with a much much better feeling and touch.
Thanks a lot for your comment 😊
I look forward to seeing you at a future tournament 😉

Wow, that is gorgeous work. Great job. Making me jealous...

The day I win the lottery I'll get a 7.5mm cpen...
Thank you for your compliment 😊

As @riemsesy said, it's better to invest directly in a blade😂😅

I totally understand that it costs a certain amount and not everyone can afford afford it but I make it totally to measure to the needs and desires of each customer 😊

As I like to say, it's sometimes better to invest in a custom-made blade that's a little more expensive but will suit you than to buy several blades at €50 before finding one that's just about right.
