FS DHS W968 provincial (letters)

I just received 4pcs of W968 provincial/letters blades. I only need one so I would sell the remaining three. All of them come from a reputable source in China, some of you might have seen the guy's videos on youtube testing gear. Even among the provincial W968 he selected these as the best he could find recently. So all of them have similar weight and thickness and appearance too.





All three are in their DHS plastic foil and have their counterfeit sticker unscratched. I checked mine and it came out good on the DHS site.

Since it seems very hard to get even the commercial Ma Long V in recent times I think it's a good deal to get these better blades.

How does one tell the difference between a provincial W968 and a commercial Long 5? From what little I know, a w968 has a different sticker on the box and code on the handle.

AFAIK, the notable difference between a w968 and Long 5 is the larger head and handle size in the w968. Do these have the larger dimensions?

The head size is 159x150mm according to my ruler. The handle at the end is 35x27mm. Compared to the Fang Bo 2x the handle is much much fatter but FB2X might be thinner than commercial HL5 to begin with.

What I noticed is that the info card for W968 letters is not filled out. The balance point and that rebound % are always empty while commercial HL5 or HL5X is fully filled.

The core ayous is very dense in all 4 or the W968, like ayous naturally has these holes/channels. My FB2X blade has a ton of them and they are very obvious, and so does my IF ZLC, so when I first saw these W968 blades I had to look very closely if they have ayous core or what is going on. They have ayous core but you have to search a bit to find those holes. I think this is why the one I am keeping feels so catapulty and solid. FB2X is thicker with a much thicker core yet on BH it feels that it lacks bounce and it is not crisp. W968 feels shockingly bouncy on backhand and shockingly crisp for an inner carbon blade.

Didn't you take some photos with calipers? Or is that in a different post? Are you able to take a few more measurements at different points of the handle (such as the bottom middle top, with width and height) thanks.

$350 for W968 letters is overpriced especially if bought from gan. I think he sales it for around 1200-1500 yuan excluding tax and shipping. Which is around $180… Including all tax and shipping it will not cost more than 250… I bought one from him a year ago for 1200, number 3 and 91 grams. I’m not hating, I’m just informing you guys that letter w968 is pretty “cheap” in China
