Of course there is the possibility that it is not the sponge shrinking but the top expanding. Just about impossible to say.
I had the odd rubber that was curled "inside" after pulling them off the blade and they never came right again. Using normal booster sometimes flattened them , sometimes not.
If I think the rubber is still usable I flatten it using the old nasty speed-booster, I always have a bottle in the fridge. a couple of layers will flatten the rubbers again and then 10 minutes later I apply the normal water-based glue and stick it back on the blade

It could be that the rubbers were just stretched too much but usually this causes not such a reverse dome.
Maybe the glue shrunk too.
I would remove the glue first and than decide what to do next. Either Lodro's speed-glue solution (Rema Tiptop glue/vulcanizing fluid for bicycle tires might be enough but not that much more healthy) but that's not permanent or some Seamoon booster or some homemade booster aka baby oil (paraffin oil) + some Limonene aka orange oil (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limonene / https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_oil)

dafaq.... you don't boost your h3? low level scrub. leave the rubber on the paddle until you decide to change rubber. Fyi if you boost the h3 properly, at your level it will last 6 months or more.

Also if the rubber curls inward it doesn't mean its dead.

What needs mentioning is that when Seamoon is used the rubber might flatten but what actually happened was that in the 12 hours needed to let the booster do it's thing the rubber curled back. This is why the olde speed-booster. Ye can apply 2-3 layers in 10 minutes and then glue the rubber back on the blade.
Life is hard 😂

It just occurred to me that when I remove my rubbers (H3N 39 commercial and H8 80 37), they always curve inward. A LOT. I think this means my sponge is shrinking right? What could cause this

I'm also thinking of boosting with baby oil, would that help?
Yes you're right, they always do, even if they were never boosted.
I think it's just aging over time as it dried out. If you boosted it or stretced it onto the blade, the dome will be a lot worse.

TECHNOLOGY FAILURE BY DHS.

From all present evidence, it is grave fault by DHS factory. You must keep freshy-made sponge in open air for no less than two weeks before sealing rubber sheets in a hermetic pack.
DHS did not so.

How long do you keep boosted H3 on?

I've reglued about 3 or 4 times since I've bought them and I've never removed the previous glue layers. Could that be a factor?

Yh I don't boost. But that's going to change pretty soon cos I've realised that it's so difficult to play with. Can you elaborate on what you mean by boost properly?

Maybe, but then I had also rubbers that were reverse curled right out of the packet.

buy a haifu white from tt11 or haifu yellow/black from prott.vip. Get the 500ml no15 glue. Then follow the below

steps Below only works for h3 blue sponge 40 degree 2.1mm

1. open package
2(optional). if u want to cut your rubber to save on glue/paddle you can. Like cutting the edge off etc...
3. 1 layer of haifu of your choice (white/yellow or black w/e).
4. wait 24 hours
5. 1 layer more layer of oil
6. wait 24 hours
7. 3 layer of no15 glue
8. 1 layer of oil
9. wait 48 hours
10. 2 layer of glue on blade then stick the rubber on it
????

play until rubber bubble, or rubber come off by accident, or top sheet oxidized(could prevent that if you just keep it clean every so often). which could be 6 months or more.
