I'm new to the community, so hello!
In short: I've returned to the game after a few years. After testing and making a few adjustments, I finally concluded that the 83.5g Viscaria is the best blade for me right now. For the backhand, I chose the Moon Blue 12 M+, which is simply the easiest and safest to play.
My problem is (and always has been) the forehand. I've gone through tons of equipment in the past, but that was like 10 years ago. Currently, I alternate between Big Dipper V 38 and 39 deg. I bought two sheets of each: they're probably factory-tuned, shrink quickly, and there's a significant difference between the individual sheets (in appearance and performance). The weight difference between cut 38 and 39 is almost 10 grams... It doesn't play badly, but it's difficult to rely on. I like the overall characteristics, but with me running away from the table too often, I find them lacking power. However, I wouldn't want to go for very hard rubbers (55deg area). I consider boosting as a last resort.
I'm looking for something more hybrid than the chinese, with a catapult that will help in mid-distance, preferably not ESN. Although I tested the DNA Hybrid M for a while and it was quite good, but I had a strange, bit mushy feeling and it affected the overall compostition and the feel I got from it.
Can you suggest a direction to go in, and some candidates? A 50-degree base and a flexible top should be fine.
