I have 4
1) Yasaka Mark V racket. Still awesome and lots of fun, great to use it for comparison once in a while
2) My Yasaka Ma Lin Jimmy Carr with Rakza Z FH and Rakza 7 BH
3) Nittaku Acoustic with Yinhe Jupiter Asia 3 FH and Rakza X Soft BH.
4) My 1st blade Yasaka Silver line All Wood now with Big Dipper on FH and Moon 12 BH.

I currently swap between 2 and 3 and will probably settle on no 2 with Rakza X Soft BH for coming season.
No. 1 and 4 will be kept for visitors on the home table I hope to get next yr!
Idk if anyone pointed out your Jimmy Carr joke, but I like it.

Three at the moment; the Victas Balsa 8.5 as noted under my avatar, plus a Joola K7 with (well-used !) Tenergy 05 both sides and a Timo Boll ALC with Joola Express Ultra (short pimps) on backhand and Joola Rhyzer 48 on forehand. I always play with the Victas Balsa, the other two are effectively spares nowadays.

at the moment:

Main (for control): Neottec Magic Control + DHS H9 + 61second Kangaroo
2nd (for Speed): Revoldia Clone + Loki Rxton 3 + 61second Eagle
3rd (for Defense): Donier Defensive + Tuttle Positive Energy + 61second Eagle
4th (piece of junk): Broken/fixed Tibhar triple carbon + 666 super + yasaka Zip
5th (even crappier); shrunk DHS 2 star + DHS PF4 + Yinhe Neptune

after 1 session yesterday i´m gonna be moving the Tuttle positive energy to my main blade, it's so good and linear, the throw angle on H9 is too low.
This cheap rubber i think isn't mentioned on the budget rubbers thread, but it looks promising hope it's durable

Oh my god, where to start

I've got the four blades I use regularly (see my signature), and also

1. Stiga Rosewood XO cpen (spare) // Xuperman Powerplay-X FH / Skyline 2 BH
2. 729 Green Goblin 7-ply cpen // Dawei 388D-1 / Hurricane 3
3. 2x Neottec Voodoo Classic (used for testing rubbers), currently has some combination of Rasanter C/R 53, T05 Hard, Tibhar K3
4. Personally handmade 1-ply jpen blade // D09c FH / H3 BH
5. Nittaku Miyabi // Skyline 2 / Skyline 2 NEO
6. Stiga Ebenholz V cpen // 802-40 / Skyline 3
7. Stiga Maplewood VII FL // AK-47 / H3

Stiga Maplewood will probably be given to a teammate. I had a few other blades and I've gone through a lot of Ma Lin Extra Offensive. I made a lot of Ma Lin Extra Offensive setups for family members, my university team, people at my club, etc. After experimenting so much with Ma Lin Extra Offensive, I think the ideal setup with this blade (for most people, forehand-dominant attacking style) is Skyline 2 NEO FH / Rasanter R48 BH.

1. Darker Speed 90 + T05 ( FH ) + Xiom Vega Europe ( BH ) - currently my meta.
2. Bespoke 10.5mm one ply hinoki + undecided yet but most likely Tenergy variants. ( This blade is fondly called Gozo Avenger blade )

NB: I now realized compared to you guys, I am just a fake EJ'er and at best just a wannabe and not even a proper EJ'er. I am so ashamed.

p/s: Used to own a lot more but sold many to fellow club-mates over the years and stopped buying new blade and now only keep two which I used interchangeably.

How many set ups do I own in total?

Don't ask.

How many set ups do I regularly play with?

Ummm...about ten...

How many do I *seriously* play comp with?

Two.

How many incomplete set ups do I have?

Christ I hate to think...

PS: I don't care what anyone else says. If you haven't bought:

- a $1,600 drum sander to better sand the playing surfaces of your blades,

- a $3,500 fiber laser engraver just to create a small brass logo plate for the the bottom of a handle,

- over $5k in premium outer veneer woods in the past six months,

- and if you haven't spent over two years of your life researching wood biology at the cellular level to better understand blade performance

- or spent over 18 months trying to secure samples of exotic alternate timbers that might be viable alternatives to Kiso Hinoki ....

...then you're not a real EJ.

(Christ help me .. 🤦🤦🤦🤦)

Currently have these playable:
1 "the olde batte" Appelgren Allplay, Rakza 7 both sides
2 "league play" Yinhe Pro 01 w/ H3 Neo and AK47 Red
3 "curiosity kills the wallet" Victas Koji Matsushita Offensive w/ Dianchi D and AK47 Yellow

Then I have a broken Sanwei 75 Inner which I'm converting to pommel grip because I want to see what the wingspan idea is about.
And I've recently sold a Clipper and an Offensive Classic. The VKMO I'm still on the fence about - I don't particularly like it but might keep it as a Long Pips blade.

I don’t have the energy to count… Between thumb and middle finger 25…

Cheers

lol I second that. Probably 25 too. But I only use two blades seriously at any time. Backhand rubber changes on which side of the bed I wake up that day.....
