Wow... I thought I had a lot of setups...
Main setups (all setups with H3N 39 OS on FH):
- 2x 729 Blue ALC with H3N 37 OS on BH
Test setups:
- 2x 729 Blue ALC, 1x Codexx EL Pro 52 (heavily boosted), 1x 729 Taichi 39 in/37 out on BH
- 1x Loki Telson CNF with Telson 100 on BH
Fallback/old setup:
- Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive with H3 39 OS and H3 37 OS
And a lot of other blades without rubbers... Persson Powerplays, V14Pros, TSP/Victas Swat, Butterfly Falcima, Telson Speed...
Wow Four x 729 Blue ALC blade, is it more bouncy or less bouncy than Yinhe V14Pros in your experience ?

Thank you sir.
Best regards,

How many set ups do I own in total?

Don't ask.

How many set ups do I regularly play with?

Ummm...about ten.

How many do I seriously play comp with?

Two.

How many incomplete set ups do I have?

Christ I hate to think...

PS: Id don't care what anyone else says. If you haven't bought:

- a $1,600 drum sander to better sand the playing surfaces of your blades,

- a $3,500 fiber laser engraver just to create a small brass logo plate for the the bottom of a handle,

- over $5k in premium outer veneer woods in the past six months,

- and if you haven't spent over two years of your life researching wood biology at the cellular level to better understand blade performance

- or spent over 18 months trying to secure samples of exotic alternate timbers that might be viable alternatives to Kiso Hinoki ....

...then you're not a real EJ.

(Christ help me .. 🤦🤦🤦🤦)
You're in a different league altogether. This is the children's section.

@Grumms

how would you rate the outer blades of yours and what did you think about the loki rxton 9 CNF blade? looks like an interesting composition with CNF and basalt interwoven

as for the thread:
2x xiom hugo hal with the same rubbers as in my profile
1x loki kirin 5 with loki rxton 9 and yinhe long pips just for fun and train against, since we basically have no pips player in our club rn.

i had a short EJ phase when i wasn't happy with my allwood blade anymore and tried a lot of stuff and had a lot of different blades like 7ply and outer carbon, till i found the perfect blade and since then i sticked with it and sold everything else or gifted to kids. but i never had an inner carbon blade so still a lil bit curious about that :p

Best regards,

Depending on store three to four 729 Blue ALC = half a Viscaria in Germany ;)
V14Pros are "light" 87g and 88g, the 729 Blue ALCs in use are all over 90g. V14Pro have a thinner top ply, ALC kicks in earlier and they are overall a bit faster. 729 Blue ALC feels a bit softer and I find it easier to get spin on the ball (maybe because of the handle and/or weight balance).

If the Rxton 9 CNF is similar to my Telson CNF than it should feel a lot woodier than typical outer carbon blades. Definitely slower with low input power but it flexes and speeds up quite a bit when hit hard. A bit too non-linear for me.

I'm also interested in 729 Blue ALC. Would you say it's soft despite being an outer carbon, or generally soft?
BTW, have you tried the 729 Yellow ALC (inner)? Or the blue or yellow ADvanced models?

On Aliexpress they cost only 18 euros, so I might buy both!

Soft despite being an outer carbon.
Blue Advance and Crazy Victory 1 are on my list or maybe the national version (729 NB49) if I can find a good deal.
No Inner carbon blades for me. My BH doesn't like them (at least the ones I could try) ;)
