Hello everyone, I'm playing with D09C on the forehand from more than 1 year and I love it, but I struggle keeping the tackiness for more than one month or little more, I mean, even after 2-3 months has far more grip most Euro/Jap rubbers (in my opinion) but I find it very different from a new one. How can I reduce the tackiness fading process? The problem is that the sticky protective foil becomes dusty very quickly, and is different from the "sticky" foil sold from Butterfly, and which seems to deteriorate the topsheet even earlier. Do you know any adhesive foils from other brands similar to the 09C one? Or if somehow does Butterfly sell the 09C sticky foils separately? Thank you.

I tried it unboosted, I liked the feeling but it required too physical effort to match the quality that I can put with 09c. I should probably learn how to boost, but I think it would be different anyway. But if I find a Chinese rubber (boosted) that could remind me a 09C and keeps its characteristics longer, I would definitely change
Try buying Hurricane 3 instead

Boosting will make Hurricane 3 behave more like D09c. Skyline 2 is also a good option. They'll retain the tackiness longer than D09c. It's not super hard to learn how to boost, it's basically just an extra step in between layers of glue. I like Falco Tempo Long and Haifu Seamoon Black. Try Falco first.

Boosting will reduce tackiness and degrade the rubber, even if it is Hurricane 3. But D09c is also boosted -- it's heavily boosted in the factory, which is why it degrades so quickly. So unfortunately, there is a tradeoff: if you want great performance, the rubber will degrade quickly. It's why pros change their rubbers so often. But heavily boosted H3 will still last longer than D09c, plus it's cheaper.

Films with adhesion are for non tacky rubbers, they destroy tacky rubbers, even the one that comes with the 09c.

Get non sticky films, butterfly sells them, Donic sells them, dhs sells them, your long lost uncle on aliexpress sells them, just find the cheapest and you'll be just fine.

Why hurricane and not skyline or battle?
Hurricane is the most popular of the bunch, most stable trajectory, predictable arc, for the user, quite the opposite for the opponent, tons of grip, great feeling, etc.

Skyline is a bit of a dog, needs more power to use, battle is more tacky and faster but also not as stable. Hurricane 3 is the most popular rubber in the world, and for good reason.

"How to Keep D09C tacky?"

Don't play with it...
Seriously... The tackiness of a rubber is never ever constant it will always diminish in various grades...
Tacky protection sheets, Yes they are dust magnets. I never use them. On a tacky rubber there is always a small degree of tackiness left. This is enough for untacky protection sheets to stick...

Cheers
