How to make handle smoother?

So, I just received an H301 I’ve been waiting for some time, and it plays very well. I won’t go too in detail on that, since this isn’t about the blade’s performance. I was slightly disappointed that the handle felt a bit rough, though, particularly that line in the middle-it has this “bump” on it and makes it a bit odd to grasp and feel that. Compared to my SZLC, the SZLC’s handle is completely smooth, while this handle feels pretty rough (Any butterfly blade that I’ve used for that matter has a very smooth handle). Obviously, price difference is huge, better quality of course, but I was hoping that there’s something people have tried and worked regarding handle roughness. I don’t know if this has been answered already, sorry if it has.

Fine grit sandpaper would do the job...

Yes, use fine sandpaper. Some brands even gives you equipment to adjust the handle to your liking (Xiom, iirc).
Rough handle doesn't mean it's low quality.

Scotch brite pad works great if you're nervous about taking too much off with sandpaper.

1000-1500 grit sandpaper will do the job

Yes if you want to have shiny slippery blade ... Go for 250 it will do the job perfectly
