hello,
i would like to receive responses on the following question.

whats the best way to play against those players who put a little spin on every return. its not kinda chop shot but just a low ball near the net.
you could call it a chop shot but with little spin on it. i am finding it hard and kind of irritating.
whats your suggestion.

thank you

So you have a short underspin ball that bothers you...

Your options are as follows...

1) Bump it back short and irritate the other player right back. Just keep a loose wrist, take the ball early and develop that touch with a small bump.

2) Return it long and deep with underspin, maybe even change that amount of underspin if opponent tries out attacking.

3) Return it medium depth WIDE angle and make the opponent move.

4) Flick the ball with any spin angle or depth, learn which ones affect your opponent.

When my opponent returns really short, I'd try the following:

- also return it short but to a side, so my opponent needs to move and maybe play an easy return for me
- if the bounce is high enough get behind it and try flicking

you could also try a longer, faster chop aimed at the body of your opponent :)

Good advice, it's important to remember that most of the players in the world have big problems with fast deep returns straight at the body.
