Its easier if you have a more choked down grip. Because there is more handle impeding the rotation in your hand, you also have to let go of the handle more to cleanly twiddle. But then again I don't think its difficult to do at all regardless of handle type so ymmv

This is how I do it:

Blade is Harimoto ALC Clone, decently flared handle.

On a side note, I developed the habit of twiddling my racket in-between points a LOT and it has become a sort of tic that I do automatically.
That's why I'd say I'm pretty good at twiddling.

You mean techinque?

First of all, it looks faster than it feels when doing it, maybe because I'm so used to it by now.

In terms of how:
I "throw" / "rotate" the racket, instead of "changing the grip", I basically let go of the racket, if that makes sense.
The index finger makes space for the racket head to move.
Then I catch it, with my index finger in its natural backhand grip position and "tighten" my grip again.
During the change it is loose in my hand and almost "in the air".

It's gotten to a point where it's harder to do it consciously than subconsciously.

If you watch this in 0.25x Speed, you can see it a little more clearly.

I never thought I would talk about racket twiddling technique😂.
