I could even choose weight and thickness.

How could you choose the weight ? I thought it was already made by the manufacture, how could be customized ? Just wondering.

The factory produces different weights and thickness which is measured and printed on a card and packaged with the blade. So you can ask the seller to look for a specific weigth and thickness to fit your preferences.

If possible they will try to help and find one, which meets your wishes.
In my case, I got a photo of 3 different blades and could choose the one, which I liked best.

Yes. I bought two blades (one regular HL5 and one Golden Slam Version) and more than 6 rubbers there. All genuine DHS products.

Can you review the differences (pros and cons) of HL5 and Gold Slam vs TMXi pro, if you can also provide the weight comparisons would be great! Tq

You will not notice the difference between HL5 and HL5 GS. I have not played both with the same rubbers, as the GS version was a present for my son. But I could not tell much difference between the two.

TMXi Pro is different animal. It is faster. Handle is blukier. It generates (much) more spin, than HL5 (at least with my technique). But my TMXi is also much heavier (94g on TMXi Pro vs. 90g on the HL5).

I just got HL5 GS, played it and i don't like it at all. I think because they are all commercial version, that is why they are not consistent, I still like my Viscaria better, IMO.

I doubt that the reason is that they are not consistent. I never met someone that liked HL5 composition (Limba outerply and inner carbon) and Viscaria (Koto outerply and outer carbon) alike. Most of the time it’s either or. I never understood, what’s so special about Viscaria. I never got a good feel with it. Regardless of the rubbers I put on it. Glad we have such a variety of choices

Well, i used my DHS Hao III in the past and i remember i was playing against a friend who was using Viscaria original one, he was selling his blade, didn't like it much, and in fact he tried my Hao III and liked it much and even he said it is better than his, but that time i was using BTY T05/T05FX on it, not anymore, and later like in 2020 or 2021 i bought Long 5X and i liked it, but it is so fast and i used H3 rubber with it, before that i had a stock T80 which i didn't like, but overall i am not sad with Long 5X, but i read reviews saying that Long 5 GS is better than 5/5x ones, so i ordered one, i can't believe that someone hated it, i will wait to receive it and try it, but i still think about which rubbers for best performance with my style or level.

To be honest, i tried many blades, it is always about the rubbers combo and my level and my mood, one time i use a specific racket and i beat a player with it, next time i lose to same player using same racket, and then another time i beat him again, and sometimes i also beat him with another rackets or he beats me using something else, so i can't just keep judging about equipment only, sometimes it is my fault more.

Have you tried Butterfly Innerforce ALC blades? hopefully you can give a good comparison vs Long5 and Long5x.

Judging by Gan’s review Gold Slam seems to bridge the gap between commercial HL5 & Prov W968. Hurricane acB would be more comparable to Harimoto.

Hurricane acB looks to have a Koto Outer though.
Would Hurricane King WCQ be more comparable to Harimoto?

No i didn't tried that one, but i tried Timo Boll ALC instead, the feeling is nicer with Timo Boll, but 5x is faster, i feel like TB is more linear too, but i tested only for short time and it was with Tenergy rubbers, and that won't change my mind about DHS, in fact i liked DHS precisely because of their thin smooth handles when others hate it, even ST handle i like it from DHS more than BTY.

I started to play more with Stuor blades because they are so cheap, and i felt like they have good speed but nice control, i mostly bought Long 5 replica and also one Harimoto replica, the rubbers i used on that Harimoto weren't great, so i am changing, i mean they are ok but not super, the rubbers are great on another blade anyway.

Can't wait to see that Long 5 GS in playing.
