Hi,

I bought the Hurricane 3N Nacional at tabletennis11, new it was very sticky, it lifted the ball for 2 seconds off the table, but after 2 hours of use it lost all its stickiness and now it looks like a European rubber with a lot of Grip but nothing sticky.

Is this normal??

tabletennis11 does not sell fakes. It is possible for H3 to lose/reduce its initial tackiness. Some players even prefer that it gets less tacky after playing it in.

I do not know if this is normal or not , i never owned a H3 National.
However, I would not judge a rubber that can lift a ball for only 2 seconds as a very sticky rubber. Very sticky rubbers will
keep a ball stuck much longer.
After you have discovered the sudden lack of stickiness have you washed the rubber and tried again ?

Clean it gently with water, then put a plastic protection on. On the other hand people say that the H3N Nat isn't a very sticky one. If you look carefully you will see that the rubbers of the greatest Chinese don't give an impression of been really sticky

indeed, and some good players actually remove the initial stickiness by rolling a handful of brand new balls over the rubbers. Brand new balls always
have some residual talcum powder on them and rolling the balls on the rubbers will so remove the initial stickiness. What remains then is
what , for lack of a better expression , is the tackiness for which the rubbers are famous for and with which the good players can perform so well.

Sure, and it also uses Revolution 3 cleaner, however now it looks more like a Goldarc 8 without stickiness

How do you clean it?
I found that Revolution 3 cleaner is perfect to restore stickiness.

I also use Revolution 3 cleaner

Use the water and revolution 3 cleaner,

However, I must say that I feel better playing with it now that it is not so sticky, I have more consistency

I think it's quite odd that it loses it's tack, but if you use newer balls and don't clean it after say 15-20 minutes of play, the top sheet will be damaged and the tackiness will be much less. I am a player that need the tackiness for brush looping, so I clean my rubbers with the Revolution 3 cleaner about ten times every training session, and never use my hands to swipe clean the rubbers, because the friction from doing this also wears out the rubbers.

That’s a lot of pain and the main reason I avoid stickies. 😳

I usually never clean my rubbers during a session and I never use my my hands either. Yes I can feel some loss of grippiness but I can live with this.

Cheers
