Hey guys! Recently I travelled to CHINA to take on 16 players from all levels, styles, and abilities, from 7 year old wonderkids, to guys with holes in their bats and even a pro, at one of the biggest table tennis clubs in Beijing! šŸ“

This was one of the craziest challenges I’ve ever done, every opponent brought something totally different to the table. Huge shoutout to STIGA for making this collaboration happen šŸ™Œ

I used the brand new STIGA Helix Platinum rubbers throughout the challenge and gave them a serious test against China’s best! šŸ’„

Can I survive 16 matches in a row in the heart of Chinese table tennis? Watch to find out!

Legends has it Dan, inherited the ultimate deadly art of ping-fu from Shifu Dima, he travels by sea to the far east to challenge the 16 ultimate masters there, where, having defeated them all and making them call him uncle Dan, he was given the license to operate a Ping-Ping academy, Dan's Ping-Pong academy.

NB: It is a legend though, a myth. Not sure if it is true or not.

Great challenge! I bought a Helix 55 rubber to try out.

I was contemplating too. Saw a review on Bilibili. They even said it's comparable to H3 in terms of short game control and spin. I was surprised.

I thought this was one of the best videos in a long time - And we've had some good ones recently!

It was great to see "normal" players, even if 99% of them were still very "top end" for most people.

I also thought @Dan looked fantastic (ability wise) - You don't get to see it so much when playing a pro, because the pro is SO good - But Dan looked like he was playing incredibly well!

"You need a mirror to see his serves" is absolutely a line I'm going to repeat in my next local league match! šŸ˜‚

TOO SLICK AND GLOSSY

An eye catching impairment of the table surface is overly glaring. Glossiness level of the blue tables is utterly substandard, we can see the pendant lamps against the topboard. Crappy tables by STIGA, sorry.

yeah but he still took time to log in to throw his youtube garbage to us. Respect @Dan
In China National Games; a certain Youtuber named Mr Yu entered the game and gave WCQ a real fight.

@Dan, when you gonna sign up to play WTT Feeder and fight against those pros in ranked games?

Your street cred will shoot up to the stratosphere and your YT channel will hit an all time high views / subs.

i think you should tone it down a notch
I think you should not tell anyone what they've to do, and the lowest I can go is B0, not B flat, sorry.
Of course I could do some de-tuning to B flat, but IT'S MY FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION TO JUST USE B, UNDERSTAND ? when I have to deal with pianists that feel it's their own right to play basslines with their left hand, I play the chords then using the booster pedal to be louder than they are, then they look at me like "Ok I understand, to each is own right but I have to respect each other's job" , now you know what free speech is.

I deeply respect @Dan , either being sarcastic is my own right.... like loudly playing chords on a 5 strings bass.

Keep off man, this is why we have freedom of speech.

I don’t really want to give this anymore airtime than it needs - It’s impossible to interpret tone in a text message, so I (and everyone else) have no idea if you are being serious, or joking.

However, the concept of ā€œfreedom of speechā€ on internet forums and other online platform with rules (think, social media for example), is severely misunderstood.
You do not have freedom of speech, nor should you.

You have signed up to a forum and agree to participate according to the rules.

For clarity, one of the rules states:

All posts should be professional and courteous. You have every right to disagree with your fellow community members and explain your perspective. However, you are not free to attack, degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle them or the quality of this community.

So like I said, I have no idea if you were joking - But it missed the mark if you were, and it’s a good reminder that no, there is no outright freedom to post whatever you want, and it doesn’t hurt to simply be kind and courteous 😊
