I played with Timo Boll

Recently I was lucky enough to play with the 2 times World Cup Champion, 6 times European Champion and recent former World No 1 Timo Boll!

I met him at the opening night of the new table tennis night club called ‘Bounce London’ www.bouncelondon.com . Timo had given an exhibition with the incredible chopper Gionis Panagiotis world ranking of 39 in front of the hundreds that were crammed into the club and afterwards I had the privilege of getting a good 15 minutes play mixed with a bit of lobbing and some top to top and counter looping it was a great time whilst people around us were taking photos as a lot of media were invited to the club for its opening.

After that I talked to him for a bit and asked him how he is going to beat the Chinese along with other questions and he is a really nice guy…so a true Legend!

I then played with Gionis for a bit and got a taster of some of his heavy chops, the amount of spin was impressive as expected and he is also a very down to earth guy.

So overall had a great night of table tennis action!

Wow!

I would have loved to go down to the opening night - I was down in London for the Olympics so got to see Timo play. It would have been an absolute mission to get down to London for the night but seems like it would have been worth it. I imagine its one of those things you'll remember for the rest of life.

Wow what an experience Ripper! Just wish I had ventured down to Bounce London for the opening event and to see Timo Boll! What an honor that would have been! You will cherish this moment for the rest of your life! Such a shame you could have not got it on video for us to watch

Yeh, i mean there was a lot of press there and a guy was going around filming so i'll have to track him down and see if he has any footage of me and timo.

Deffo track him down! I want to see you knocking with Timo badly! I cannot seem to find pictures or anything on Bounce London website which is kinda odd. Any ideas?

lol dan i think you are more keen than me to see the video, if one exists ....yeh they must be busy setting up atm to worry too much about their website but you think they would have it all advertised

oooh you know the usual...a good 15 minutes, and he did a couple of reverse serves, and some quick short stroke backhand counters, u knw the ones!
