Impact of edge tape on vibrations

Hey hobby scientist,

if you put normal edge tape plus Nittaku Super Shock Guard on a blade, how much percent would the vibration of the blade be reduced?

Disclaimer: I don't know the answer but I would really like to know

Scientifically, I don't think it should be much, but I swear I feel a dampening...so I only tape half the blade and then it's fine.

edge tape makes the sponge near the edge be able to store more energy, thus the edge of the rubbers behave like a compressed spring.
depending on the edge tape, that extra energy storage capacity is between 0.2 and 1.1 milli-Φm*
