Is Nittaku Acoustic 5 Ply Allwood still worth it this 2025?

Indeed, I love it.

But I will admit that it is a bit of a vanity purchase for me. I would be served just as well with a 30$ high quality 5-ply blade, e.g. the Yasaka Sweden Extra.

I have this blade as well, but I'm not sure which rubber I should be pairing this blade with. I tried the Andro Hexer Grip and they do not fit this blade nor do they fit me.

carbon is the new setup now, with the new rubbers and new ball
if you still opt for the woody feel, get the 7 ply. Many option: Clipper, Malong 3, many many more.

Can't speak for other countries, but there are some players in the upper German leagues playing 5-Ply wood blades. These people would have a USTTR of 2600 and above. Surely, playing the "modern game" with 5-Ply woods should be feasible for the rest of us, too?

Yeah, “modern game” close to the table even Def rated blades are quick enough!! Mid / Far distance then maybe you’ll need a bit more speed!!
Acoustic is a great blade, but maybe there are all wood blades as good for less cash.

It's a good blade, well made and good feeling, no doubt.
Be careful with the handle sizing if you're buying it tho, the standard size is small.
I would say that unless you've played someone else's Acoustic, have deduced from this that you love it and you know it will work well with your rubbers then I don't think it's worth the money.
I'm reckon a made in Japan Korbel offers the same level of Craftsmanship for less money.

As to whether its worth getting a 5 ply all wood blade rather than a blade with Carbon, that's a question with many answers
But the risk of spending lots of money on an Acoustic and finding afterwards that you want to try carbon is real.
In which case the Korbel will likely be easier to sell

but it costs 3x or 4x a yasaka or other name-brand five ply wood, and you won't play any better with acoustic than with a $30 - 40 blade.

I play acoustic carbon since 2018, just for reference. they aren't "worth" the premium price either. but I like them and I don't really give a shit if something I will use 5x/week for two or three years costs an extra $100.

Actually, I love the feels of sanwei v5 pro coming from different blades. Fzd alc, zlc, slzc and others more.

Now, I read about acoustic and lots of people saying it is the best blade for allwood. The king. And I want to settle on it if I like the feeling and vibrations..

I own a YSE and an Acoustic G-Rev, and the acoustic is a lot faster.

So you can also consider OSP Virtuso+ , it's nothing else like Japan Korbel or Nittaku Acoustic. The same composition and quality of craftmanship is even higher than Nittaku. I had both Acoustics (ST and FL - SG Version) and had 3 OSP blades, 2xVirtuoso+ and 1xVirtuoso. Nittaku was really good but OSP ones were even better.
