Compared to other top european players, timo is the only player who has a chance to defeat any of the top 4 in a major tourney

The only player? I recall Samsonov beating Xu Xin recently, and also Zhang Jike - ranked #1 and #4 respectively.

Jorgen Persson was still playing in the Olympics, was born in 1966 and is about 47. Zoran Primorac is still playing he was born in 1969 and is about 45. Jean Michel Saive was also born in 1969, he is not quite 45 yet, but will be soon. He Zhi Wen was born in 1962 and is over 50. He is still pretty amazing.

Will Timo remain in the top 5 or top 10 much longer? Hard to say. But he still has a lot more great table tennis in him.

I still think he played amazing in the WTTC in Paris this year. He also won the European Championship this season.
Of cause he can’t maintain the highest level he once had. But his career will probably be like Persson and Primorac’s.
He still has many years in the game, but just not at the top anymore.
