Denso Polaris is a JTTL team. Sato and Shibata extending their contracts with Mallets (many coaches and players are also affiliated with Miki House) shows they have not severed their connection entirely, unlike Hashimoto.

p.s.
Looking into it more, Sugasawa and Abe (now a manager) were also under either Shitennoji or Miki House or both at one point...

Hashimoto didn't even finish top 16 at Zennihon Takkyu 2025 so she didn't even make the NT Reserve Players. Sasao made it probably for winning Zennihon Shakaijin Takkyu 2024. Takeya made it probably for winning Inter-High 2024 (It was back in last August and so should've made the previous list in October but the council meeting probably didn't happen before then).

Uda as the top NT Reserve Player is tantamount to saying he is not worse than the NT Players.

Morizono Masataka is now the Men's Junior NT head coach.
It's crazy in my opinion to base NT/NT candidate off of one domestic tournament if the goal is to win internationally. Hashimoto faced fellow chopper in R32 and it went into expedite at the 2025 All Japan and lost 4-1. But she's had a fantastic 2024 beating a number of CNT players and making it to the finals of 2025 SC Chennai only losing to Miwa. Japan seems stuck in their old ways with regards to National Team membership.

Miu Hirano must be pinning her hopes on doing well at the World Championships in May because she did not sign up for either Contender Taiyuan (next week) or Contender Tunis (near end of Apr). She will most likely fall below Kihara and probably Hashimoto (and outside chance of Nagasaki) because she has big points expiring on Apr 22 ... 265 pts with 90 in reserve for net loss of 175 pts which drops her to 1355 (Kihara 1300, Hashimoto 1250, Nagasaki 1195). She has to be careful not to fall below top 6 Japanese to play Grand Smash events where there's big prize money and ranking points. She should be well rested for the WTTC though so we'll see how she does.

As I suggested during Asian Cup 2025, Hirano is currently taking a real break in Hawaii to refresh herself, contrary to what NextLevel dismissed as excuses.

Everyone needs a break. What is an excuse is saying that needing a break is why someone is losing. And then deriding someone who plays better despite injury that working with zeio would have prevented as being dumb etc.

Yet another strawman argument by putting the cart before the horse once again. It's exactly because she's losing, that she needs a break, not the other way around. Like SYS until ATTC 2024, Hirano had been playing non-stop with zero days off after Paris 2024 before heading into the T.League 2024/2025.

Where was your scrutiny when Ito kept using the constant competitions, injuries and illnesses as excuses throughout the Paris 2024 cycle and even to the point of blaming how her style had become stagnant on the selection system?

Same with Hayata who cited the tropical climate as an "environmental factor" for her poor form in Singapore Smash 2023 and 2024. How did Yahoo Japan users react? Where was your scrutiny?

I'm not fond of repeating myself, but compare that with Hirano and even Harimoto.

If Ito and Hayata said they were losing due to lack of rest and poor condition and you weren't there to criticize them, then apparently it's you that is 寬己嚴人/tolerant with yourself but strict with others.

Again, Hirano never said, "I lost to all these players because I didnt take a break." You did. You criticized Hayata for not knowing when to quit or rest. Yet now what we are hearing is that dumb Hayata takes more breaks that Hirano the wise. The problem is not with the players, it is with what you put in your head as silly narratives. They don't make excuses, you make them for the players you like and discount them for the players you don't.

Every player manages themselves as they see best. I am a fan, I do not pretend to be their best manager as you do. Have you offered your expertise to Hayata yet? Or maybe Hirano could use it.

Selection criteria for ATTC 2025 (MT/WT) and WTTC 2026 (MT/WT) released.

2 players who qualify for WTTC 2026 (MT/WT) will also qualify for Asian Games 2026 (MT/WT), specifically the winner of Zennihon Takkyu 2026 and the winner of selection trial.

Miyazaki: "It's beneficial to Japan. XT is no problem."

卓球・宮崎専務理事「男女ともに強化している日本にとって有利」ロス五輪で混合団体追加 1増の6種目実施
https://hochi.news/articles/20250410-OHT1T51175.html?page=1

https://www.daily.co.jp/general/2025/04/10/0018854418.shtml

In the T-League, she has won 12 consecutive matches without a loss this season. She said that she was mentally struggling when the tournament started in August right after the Paris Olympics, and recalled, "I had no time off at all. It's rude (to the spectators and people involved), but (at the time) I played the matches while really hating it." However, she said that the break helped her to reaffirm her love for table tennis. "Whenever I take a break from table tennis, I want to play again, so all things considered, I guess I really like table tennis. Until now, I thought I had to play because I had the Olympic dream, but I've realized that I actually want to play even when I'm not in that situation, and it's pretty fun."

She will have a 3-day break from the New Year holidays, from the 30th to January 1st. She will have a hectic schedule, starting her training on the 2nd, playing in the T-League on the 4th, and departing for Qatar on the 5th to compete in an international tournament. She said with a wry smile, "I have to prepare (for the matches) while taking a break."

lol, he is just keyboard warrior
if he loss hyperlink ability, or internet disabled, there is nothing left.

he doesn't even work with Chinese players, or any players, but pretend he knows everything about every player, because it says so on the internet or chat groups.

First quote from Japanese is: "[Ranking of favorite Japanese female table tennis players of all time] The cute and strongest former ace player beat out "current ace" Hayata Hina by a large margin in first place"

Second quote in Japanese is: "Kasumi Ishikawa was the strongest! "Favorite female table tennis players" ranking
  • 2nd and 3rd place are active in the Paris Olympics"

Zeio, for short quotes like that, can you provide translations. There are people who are complaining that is not in English and the post was reported for that issue.
