Hey Scott,

I wouldn't worry to much mate, these things happen. Sometimes you need to just go back to the very basics, and just simply keep the ball on the table. Start hitting the ball from the peak of the bounce again.

Aha yes, the SGS College uses all sorts, laptops, pens, paper it's all there haha :) Looking forward to you joining mate.

Scoops, bad nights happen to everyone and no one is exempt. There could be other things we are not so aware of, especially how work, commuting, and crappy mood can play into that. sometimes it is that and bad nutrition and depleted stores of glycogen, sometimes lack of hydration. Could be a lot of stuff.

Do your best to control what you can and let it go.

Fight on.

It's normal! Even the pros have ups and downs. Just practice on getting your footwork in shape. That is often the case when I miss simple balls. Get the feel and timing right with a moderate pace in the drills. Focus on hitting the ball at the peak of it's height. When Jörgen Persson did a coaching session in our table tennis centre, he said that they mostly practice the basics such as the Falkenberg drill and the likes.

Look at these inspiring videos from a camp in Denmark with Chinese pros,
