by looking at the video. Of course but her's look like a big difference.
It's big in many pros, both visible and not obvious. Kreanga is also notorious for his. Given how notorious Hayata is for training, it makes sense that hers is also obvious.

Unpopular take, but it's a possibility that the reason CNT is looking vulnerable is because the others have caught up with them or have closed the gap enough to make them vulnerable instead of weaker talents. The likes of WCQ and LSD would have dominated the sport a decade back.
When it comes to the mens side of the game I do believe that the players outside of China have caught up to the point where they can compete H2H with them. Maybe could be due to the new ESN/Hybrid rubbers that have come out which can compete with the DHS H3 Chinese rubbers.

I’m still undecided on if you want to win finals and championships whether it’s best to use Chinese rubbers or ESN/Hybrids. Other than Hugo using ESN/Hybrids recently most of the winners have used Chinese rubbers. FZD does use D09c Hybrid for the BH so he uses both Chinese and Hybrid rubbers.

WCQ and LSD is not Ma Long and ZJK imo
and also can't match that of Wang Hao, WLQ, Ma Lin

so I feel it is a bit of both.
1) the world has caught up
2) it is very difficult to be another Ma Long or ZJK

so the gap has narrowed from both sides

Other than LSD vs Harimoto, F. Lebrun and Calderano, not really for the new generation. LGY of the older generation has always had a lower win rate (I think the lowest) among the top ones, and less so for LJK.

WCQ
8W3L LYJ
11W2L Harimoto
4W2L Calderano
10W1L Moregard
2W1L Kallberg (2-0 XTWC 2023 not counted)
4W1L Karlsson
3W0L F. Lebrun
2W0L A. Lebrun
3W0L Gauzy

LSD
1W4L Harimoto
2W3L F. Lebrun
0W2L Calderano
3W1L A. Lebrun
1W0L Gauzy
2W0L Moregard
3W0L Kallberg
2W0L Karlsson
8W0L LYJ

Frankly, I feel the intensity, quality of shots, pace and consistency, WCQ and LSD are better than all former Chinese greats including the ones you mentioned. All they lack are mental strength and big game experience.
The real break through for these two will be when they capture one or more big three crowns in Olympics, world championship and world cups which will give them all the confidence they need to be superstars. I am sure it will happen for these two soon.
Technique and talent wise, this is the time the gap between Chinese and the non-Chinese world is the narrowest, especially on men's side.
All these changes on rules, equipment and balls ITTF made in last decade seems finally achieved its intended effect: making the game more parity and competitive.

I support. Also, this process was helped by the use non-chinese players hybrid rubber with sticky topsheet. In my opinion, the H3 was a game changer in favor of chinese players. Now, by the way, too, since there is still no euro/japan rubber with such a low trajectory and 2 speed as the H3.

XD QF
T1 Matsushima/Harimoto (5) 1-3 WCQ/SYS (2) (6, -9, -9, -9)
I don't want to blame Matsushima but it's him again. How hard was it to push the ball across the net? Missing that push at 8:7 dissipated the momentum that Harimoto built up. Nakazawa already called an effective TO at 7:7 to break the flow after dropping the previous point. *facepalm*

T2 LJH/SYB (4) 3-2 LYJ/CIC (9, 9, -6, -7, 9)

Looking forward to watch Togami - Jorgic! Who do you think will prevail? Togami seems to be on fire!
Togami was up by quite a margin in G4 at Singapore Smash 2022. It's gonna be a breakthrough no matter what.

you should come push with him and teach us
Please tell that to Mizutani and Murakami, who have expressed that the difference between Japan and China is that the latter don't make simple mistakes at crucial moments.

Japanese culture - when speaking out - are generally very humble.
they will talk about self corrections, improvement areas - talk about weaknesses etc.

So all these interviews from coaches or players..... it doesn't mean there is only negativity or bad things about Japanese table tennis, but rather, the way humbleness is part of the culture when speaking out. They won't brag or do sales pitches on how good things are.
if only tieba users also practice such traits....
