Superb show.

EDIT: Didn't see it brought up yet... Mattias is Karlsson again? Divorce?
It (the divorce) happened a long time ago from what I hear, the name change happened earlier this year on tour. I think I posted it on a thread for a recent feeder that he won.

Wow. NG became one of the most “male” attacker on the tour. No lifting against backspin. And real finisher.
It was obvious by the end of the first game that she knew how to do enough that Han Ying was in for a workout. I am pleasantly surprised by how Han Ying hasn't been able to confuse with spin variation. But I say that and now, Han Ying just floated the ball and she hit it to the sky lol. Now 1-1, 9-9.

NG may run out of power.

If they come out of this, the drain on GER makes it unlikely for them to stand a chance against JPN (sorry, UKR) in SF.

Sabine keeps getting tempted to overwhelm without placement. It's not going to work, she needs to get in the point on her forehand opening and then overwhelm with placement later in the point.
Sabine played an incredible match. Still, I’d advise her to play her forehand diagonally a little less and aim more for the opponent’s body or parallel to the baseline. It’s just a matter of making things easier for herself.
