This statement should not be generalized. In the past I played K3 rubbers really a lot and so does my colleague. Both of us cannot observe that the durability is so bad as it is reported in forums.
because you can't observe, doesn't put you in the same groups as the professionals.
and because your K3 experience can last long, doesn't mean anything without knowing the usage and your playing ability.

I'm actually very interested and surprised to see that K3 gets used for a day only while Butterfly can last a lot longer.

I myself have used the K3 for quite some time.
What I have noticed is that the topsheet degrades visibly more easily.
Let me explain: on a black rubber, the grey spots of worn rubber are visible much sooner than on other types of rubber, but even though the rubber appears to be visibly degraded, its quality does not decline as much as it seems.
This was still playable, hard as it is to believe.
