Kalinikos Kreanga is the new current European Top 12 winner on the 27th January 2011. After 11 appaereances Kranga finally won with an outstanding performance beating Vladimir Samsonov in the final in seven games (11-8, 9-11, 12-10, 13-11, 6-11, 3-11, 11-9)

Kreangas style is well known for his out of this world dynamic shots. Its this that led him to victory. On this day everything was going on. His second to last rally of the tournament was truly spectacular and will be one to remember (9-9 in the secenth).
In the womens side of things, Li Jiao beat Viktoria Pavlovich 11-8, 11-7, 11-6, 11-2 to capture the womens title. This is here 4th Top 12 title out of 7 appearances.

Places in the second stage booked, Kalinikos Kreanga beat Germany’s Dimitrij Ovtcharov (11-7, 12-10, 11-6, 6-11, 9-11, 7-11, 11-8) and Austria’s Werner Schlager (11-6, 8-11, 11-5, 12-10, 11-8) to reach the final; whilst at the same stages, Vladimir Samsonov defeated Germanmy’s Bastian Steger (11-8, 11-6, 7-11, 11-7, 11-8) and Russia’s Alexey Smirnov (11-3, 11-5, 8-11, 11-6, 11-5).
