Hi everyone,
a bit late with the post but unfortunately my work load didn’t allow me to post here earlier.
A couple of weeks ago at the ITTF World Tour Grand Finals in Incheon, I had the great pleasure to
meet Dan in person. While going through the foyer of the stadium, I just saw him sitting there eating
his "cup ramyun" so I took my chance and talked to him.
I have to say, Dan is a super nice and polite person. Even though Dan seemed to be stressed and
overworked, we had a good chat and he showed great interest in the korean amateur table tennis
scene. Further, he was always ready to take a picture with one of his admirers.
Also, at this point, I want to thank him once again for the really amazing T2 limited edition collector
cards he gave me. I keep them safe in my table tennis vitrine.
One thing that stuck to my memories. After initial greetings, his first words were:
"Where are the sandwiches here?" I had to disappoint him as there were no sandwiches, only
cup noodles and kimbab. Yes, the food choices were really less than mediocre! And I felt a bit sad for
Dan, as it was his first time visiting Korea and he couldn’t experience proper Korean cuisine. Dan,
when you are in Korea next time, I will treat you to a delicious korean meal! Haha!
So, besides the food, I really hope you enjoyed Korea and had a blast!
PS.: Sorry, but I have no idea how to make a thumbnail! :/
