When I ordered this one I had a Stiga Offensive Classic in mind. I was at the time playing my BTY Innerforce ALC.S which is a bit slow. just as I took contact with Sergio the rubber was finnished on that one and I switched to my Primorac Carbon with Rakza 7 Soft and wow it was playing nice for me so I then switched track a bit. I was fixed on the corre being Kiri and the top being hinooki, 5 layers all wood but the second layer was undecided.I was thinking Wenge but Serrgio was out of it at the time. There was little choice for me I had to go with what was awailable Sucupira. This is an extremely hard wood so he was unwilling to sand it down much which I understand, some woods are just a b---ch to work with
I ended up with:

Hinoki 1mm/Sucupira 0,6mm/kiri 3,4 mm/Sucupira 0.6mm/Hinoki 1mm (~6,6(5) mm)
Weight: 87.0g
Thickness: 6.65mm
Freq.: 1442Hz
Balance: 3.6cm (Med)

The craftmanship is second to none, The handle size is a tad larger than Butterfly 100x25 and pending oil treatment by me. I am hoping to get a slower version of my Primorac Carbon. The first rubber will be a set of older Mark V which I need to use before they get too old. Then we will see.

It is currently going through a little treatment by me, I will update when this is ready and it has been tested.

May I see? (your picture didn't show up, if you attached one)
I was also thinking to create a blade with him, have a couple ideas on my mind.

Thank you much!

I just love the feeling of these all wood Hinoki blades with a hard medial ply. I did not have Wenge at the time, that's true, but I could've ordered it at any time if that was the choice. I do have other options for dense woods like Rosewood, Purple Heart, Ovangkol, but we went back and forth between Wenge, Sucupira and Ebony in different thicknesses. Given the weight and balance requirements, after a few weight estimates we were left with either a thinner layer of Ebony or a slightly thicker layer of Sucupira. L-zr chose Sucupira and I think he did well 🙂

Beautifully made!
I love the woody circular pattern at the handle base 😍

I had been thinking about getting a Joola Rosskopf Emotion blade (having carbon as third layer held me back from purchase). Now I think, I ditch that idea. I recently got blades with harder plies underneath. I have a 5-ply blade with a thick Koto second layer, and I have a 7 ply blade with thin Koto outer and semi-thick Koto third layer. I will see, how they perform, and if I like them, I will definitely contact Sergio later for a spicy blade more or less like this, as this is so lovely (in many details).

The blade is now dressed with Mark V Max. It is way slower than expected. (This is a good thing).
Based on a bounce test (Can not make a real test until Saturday) it is slower than my Yasaka Sweden with MX-S 😲
That was not expected, I had forgotten how slow Mark V really is..., and that the rubber has a bigger impact on speed
than the blade...

I will stick with this rubber for a while. I think I will have problems away from the table but we will see...

Next rubber will be my favourite, Rakza 7.

Simple but beautiful design.
That's exactly how I want it. I do thoroughly enjoy Sergio's beautiful and innovative handle designs. But I rather have all parameters right and the blade is to played not to hang in a display, so this is perfect.
The handle is made from Western Red Cedar, that (I believe) is one of the species that goes under the name Redwood. I also have guitar (Fender Tele) with a body made from a 200 yrs old reclaimed piece of this wood, from an old Californian barn. It is truly a magnificent tree...

Took it for a spin today, it was really really slow. A little more than expected. This is good news for me. It did have a good feel, but even though it was slower the trajectory was high and I missed a lot on opening up shots. That is just a matter of getting used to. But rubber (Mark V) is way to slow. My conclusion must be that the rubber has a greater impact on speed than the blade. This is in line with my experience with my other blades. Anyway I will change it to Rakza 7 eventually.

I took it for a more serious spin today and I must say that the handle is really really comfy…
Still fighting with my 3rd ball attacks but it was better today. I will still fight with MarkV and see if I can get used to it. It should force me to put more effort in and that’s a good thing… I have a good handle on FH drives but my loops are a bit flaky… My BH doesn’t have much power at all…

I haven't played with Mark V in a loooong time, so I have no idea how it stands up to today's rubbers. The blade itself shouldn't be that slow, I would say it felt like at least bottom range Off, but this was just based on a bounce test so playing impressions may differ. I'm curious to hear how it play with the Rakza or another more modern rubber.
