Me too, I wasn’t prepared for the huge difference. I will stick with it for a while and see what happens. After all I wanted something slower… I think loops will benefit once I get used to the trajectory. The one thing I’m doubting is my BH power… But we’ll see. I have found appropriate rubbers for my other blades so I think I will find it for this one too. (It took a year to find Rakza 7 soft for my Primo carb)

Took it for another spin this weekend. I'm starting to get used to it now, still very little power though. One thing that I improved (since my old blade)
are my backhand loops...My other strokes are improving too. Its a strange feeling when a ball goes long with this limited power, but what I see is
that the spin has improved and I got more confident in pushing so I'm doing that with more "bite" as before it was just a matter of returning the ball...
Currently I have to "wear down" my opponents as before I could kill more but this is good practice and the balls are being played longer.
I think I like the blade, but I can not be sure until I have changed the rubber and I will not give up just yet....

Cheers

Another spin again...
Start getting used to this now, power is increasing on my forehand and a little bit on my backhand. Trajectory still a little bit high and out on my forehand loops, but it's getting better... The biggest problem now is my backhand flicks, don't seem to get any power there.
I have to say that all my problems are due to the rubber switch, the blade is fine, but I will not know exactly how fine until I switch the rubber...
Will still fight with MarkV until I get used to the high trajectory.

Cheers

oh ok,should be the right move.
You still Play MArk V?
Cause some say the Yasaka Rigan or Yasaka Rigan Spin should be the "modern" version of Mark V.
The Rakzas sound all promising, and i wanted to try the soft myself once, but as someone who just came back half a year ago,i was somewhat overwhelmed by the new Tensor generation (played the Donic Bluegrip S2).
And i hope i get a Blade from Sérgio soon, too.
Will play it with Vega Pro max on Fh and probably the Bluegrip S2 on BH.
But should be s atiffer blade, btw congratz for your Mjöllnir.
Maybe if you order another one from him it will be called "Gungnir"
Hope you have fun, stay healthy and good luck.
Kind Regards.

Yes I do, it's good practice. The top sheet is quite good but the sponge sucks, totally lifeless.
I will stick to Rakza 7 it's a favorite, work on most blades...
Good luck with Sergio, it took me a month, but then I asked him to delay the shipping so the package shouldn't get lost in the mail for Christmas.

Gungnir, I like that, thanks.

Had another session today, I’m getting used to this now, as long as I get hit with a little speed it’s not to bad. My passive blocks used to be sharp, not so much anymore have to place them better that’s not easy since I’m not that fast. On the positive side, I have traded speed for spin on my forehand drives…

Yet another session this weekend, I really start to like this combo now. I have learned how to get a little more speed on my backhand and my passive blocks are definitely getting better.
Forehand drives are almost as fast as before. Next I'm gonna concentrate on smashes. This looks very promising when I later going to a faster rubber...

Just took it for a spin, definitely positively faster and I think also spinnier. At this point I am really happy I started with ordinary Mark V for a reference. Now all of a sudden my attacks pays off, and my confidence became almost bloated 😁
This rubber I can recommend, I (think) it's a bit slower than Rakza 7 but fast enough and with super control. As I said before this topsheet I really like and now the sponge too, so we shall see what the future brings.

Cheers

Edit: I forgot to mention, Mark V HPS (max) is extremely light 44 grams cut, that makes 175 grams on my 87 gram Mjölner. A bit light for me, I would have like it to be ~185 grams.

Had a go with it today, This rubber (MarkV HPS) is a good match. The trajectory is lower than with the normal Mark V, this indicates that it’s a little bit softer. It is about 10-15% faster, enough for my blocks to be venomous which they were not before. With this rubber the goal is achieved.

Mjölnir: I am surprised that none of the major TT companies have made a blade they called Mjölnir. I know I name my blades and thought of that as a name but, I name my blades after I have played with them for a while and I never had a blade that I felt fit that description. The closest was a Stiga Clipper I had that was about 97 grams and was a total beast. But I called that blade "The Death Stick". It sort of fit.

Your blade looks really beautiful. I am glad you are enjoying it. And I am glad none of the big TT companies have tried to steal that name. The undefeatable weapon. :)

I am liking this more and more.I am almost up to the level I was with my Primorac Carbon with Rakza 7 soft. Speed is almost back, but a slightly higher trajectory. This I am fixing by hitting harder and with my wrist angle. Its working so good right now I am even contemplating to stay with Mark V HPS, something I didn't see coming.

To @Hipnotic This definitely met the target I am very happy now.

Cheers
