No I played it before, but even if it's not super fast, it is still a bit to bouncy. The reality is that I like linear things, so tensors, catapulte etc ... are not for me.

I tried chinese, and while it is much better about linearity, it is a bit demanding, and I am tirer to clean before every practice.

Classic rubbers are my way to go.

Thank you, I think you are very correct about what I am looking for. I have read many review these three days, on the forehand I think taht the Andro good could be a nice choice, but I can't find its weight, I guess it is not to heavy but I would like to be sure. Musa seems also pretty indicated, it is often named when people ask for a Mark V alternative.

On the backhand, I can test something like the Ventus regular alpha or like the VJ 07 regular (the last one I read that it has very good control, forgiving, and is insensive to incoming spin, that seems pretty interesting).

You seem to know very well what you are looking for (and what you are not looking for...), what you actually need and have narrowed it down to 3-4 rubbers. Thats's good.
At the end of the day all of the rubbers in the mix are rather inexpensive and lightweight, at least compared to most other contemporary rubbers. Get one sheet of each, take you time and test them thoroughly. You will then find the best rubbers for your demands.

The Good really seems like a decent choice, however, I for myself would still go for the Musa.

Another option that I have used personally was Gambler nines ultra tack. Only slightly tacky, but very spinny and moderate speed. Lacks the higher end gears of speed of the modern ESN/Japanese rubbers, but I think it would be an option for you especially if you live in the USA.

I don't know how you play, don't know what you've tried etc.. but I had a moment a few months ago I just couldn't play with anything that was bouncy. The problem was of course me.. I tried to play too carefully. Wanted to control anything I was returning. Until someone said to me if I was afraid to hit the ball..
with Tensor rubbers you just need to hit the ball.. loop it, drive it, push it, not letting it bounce of the racket, but send it where you want it.

A few months ago a club member asked me if I knew non-bouncy grippy rubbers.. so I asked here.

Direct, fairly linear, not too bouncy at all, good longevity, and medium throw angle.
Yeah, if I were looking for modern version of Mark V this would actually be it.

Thank you, I am interested if people can compare the Andro Good and the Xiom Musa. Andro good seems spot on with what I am looking for, but I am open minded if there are other similar suggestion.

About the G-1, I have already tried it, I am agree it is linear and very good, but a bit to fast, and my main complain is that I found it feel hard, harder than its 47,5°. It is not confortable to me, but I agree it is a very good rubber, and I was totally surprised by its durability, longer than any other rubber I tried (same for C-1, very durable).

Out of all of them, I have a sheet of Victas Ventus Regular. Cheap (relatively). Not too bouncy. I think OP will like it.

I clubmate plsys the good in bh,IT IS a Bit Like the factive but lesser gears,Spin but therefore less sensitive and good for consistancy.But Most single ply Users Play Harder scale rubbers to get less Hinoki "Trampoline" effect.maybe the Joola Zack should BE an Option,heard IT IS pretty near to a yasaka rigan,which ist hard to come by in some countries.gl

I think the GoldArc 5 might be a good fit for you. I've played with GA 5 (47), GoldArc 8, and G-1, and I found GA 5 feels more like an old classic rubber rather than a modern tensor. It is linear, not bouncy, but still fast enough and has quite good grip.
I've also tried the GoldArc 5 (42.5), but it was too soft for my FH.

IMO, there's no such thing as "classic modern" rubbers. It's all about the adaptation to the "modern" 40+ plastic ball.

Imagine fitting a current F1 engine into a classic F1 car and expecting it to compete under the latest FIA regulations! This configuration will never fit. You got to change the whole car!

China manufacturers are known to use different hardness scales on different rubbers. It is some pain in the arse with customers.

We just advised ITTF to update M4 technical Manual as follows:

🔴 2.7 PACKAGING

DESIGNATION OF RUBBER PROPERTIES.

-- A hardness value shall be indicated either by Shore А or by Shore O scale or both. The type of hardness scale must be еncoded with letters HA and HO respectively.
-- Hardness scale of a different type shall not be used.

EXAMPLE.
HA 42.0°
HO 52.0°
HA 38.5°
HO 48.5°

Sure. But comparing TT to the sport with the most sophisticated state of the art ever changing technology available to humans is not really a good comparison.
You actually have classic Mark V rubbers with newer sponge, I would consider this a modern version of a Classic 😊

Yes exactly, as I have explain before, for me modern classic means rubbers like classic (Mark V), but more recent, for exemple Ventus regular alpha, Andro good etc ... as classic is a category of rubbers (by opposition to tensor, chinese etc...), to me a classic rubber can be modern.
