hey y'all, so recently i stumbled upon these two rubbers and wondering how they work. I am buying both out of curiosity and i dont know which to have on my forehand and backhand to try out. you might be asking why i would buy these rubbers out of the blue when i just got jupiter2, well i was curious and i got a good deal on both so i am curious which would be suitable for which side.

Both are reasonably similar, but mxp is slightly bouncier. So i would use G1 on Fh

I have used both of them before. Below is my take:

MXP is what I am currently using and love its extreme trampoline effect. I can get away with being sloppy with my technique and still get the ball over.

G1 to me felt you need to brush more aka do more work to get the most of it and G1 certainly felt more chinese'ish. In another word, I need to do a little bit more work to get the ball over and cannot be sloppy.

MXP will play at it's best for a whole month. After, it will be still playable but with less speed, spin and most of all feel. Still perfectly good for lot of folks

I only threw away my MXP after one year when I notice the sponge start to disintegrate off. My experience differs.

Agree with you, if you protect the topsheet with a protective sheet and put your setup in an air resistant bag it will last longer.

I always have a protector sheet on when in storage and I put a few sachets of desiccant along with it in my carrier case. I guess that helps to prolong the useful life of the rubber.
