I want to apologize to those that I have offended in one way or another.
My goal on this forum was to obtain as much information as possible about equipment.
I tend to be very obsessive, trying to find the "perfect" combination for my game.
I realize there isn't a "perfect" combination, but I have enjoyed learning as much as possible.
Once again, I am sorry.

who did you offend? This is just a forum, meant for discussions. I think its ok to try out some new equipment, but sooner than later you need to pick something and stick with it for at least a year. Otherwise, you're going to be doing more harm than good, but that is just my personal opinion.

My apologies if you feel attacked by my comments. If I'm honest, I wasn't in a good mood when I wrote in your thread about Hexer and it probably showed.
My intention was to give you a reflection, perhaps a bit too direct.
Please be assured that I wish everyone a very enjoyable game of TT and nothing else.

I did not follow your threads thoroughly but if it's only asking about equipment, you don't have to worry.

I know players who don't really care about blades nor rubbers. They just pick one and then play.

Some players are really into blades and rubbers. So naturally they ask a lot of questions. I know that in the end they know that there is no holy grail, but at least they can choose the one closest to their likings.

So don't worry about it.

Both of my parents are Dutch, so I understand the directness. :)

not sure which posts there was attacks going on (I haven't been on TTD much the past 3 weeks)
but I do recall OP does have dozens of questions in very short time frame about equipment - maybe even so on the same day. and the range of the question did seem quick wide.

I think maybe sincere posters replies end up wondering, why isn't OP taking in the suggestions and continue hunting for other equipment answers. I did personally feel there was too much equipment questions (probably leading to a EJ if OP is indeed testing out all those he is asking about), so I stop replying to most of them because you could have the most perfect reply, but that means nothing the next day when a totally different equipment takes over :)

I am sure I post I replied saying stick with it, work on it, and get a coach. Since I'm both an equipment expert and coach and know where constant uncertainty on equipment will get you (no where basically).

OP does keep tt shops happy though, haha.

I think the word "attack" is a bit much for the replies on your recent thread but sorry if you took it that way. There is no attack intended. If you choose to constantly change your equipment that is definitely your decision but as others have stated it is hard to help you when you have asked about nearly every possible type of equipment (offensive, controlled, hard, soft, sticky, non-sticky, hybrid, carbon, all wood) within a few weeks, and seem to change from one direction to another day to day, constantly.

It also may seem to some that you don't seem willing to do basic forum or Google searches before asking, as you ask many questions about equipment items that have more than enough information and reviews available online.

I don't know the TTD forum rules by heart, but basically in any forum there is the rule "first search the forum for your topic before you open a new topic".

This is a general and smart forum rule and FrenchFrog has to live with people reacting offended if he is too lazy to search the forum and read threads with dozens of pages and thinks it would be more appropriate for somebody else to summarize the verdict of the rubber threads for him on demand. It is simply impolite and to add to this a simply ChatGPT or Grokh Request would have summarized any question he has for him without bothering real people.

I think most people that have a little bit of memory about FrenchFrog's threads they might remember that he is quite old already and seemingly switching equipment every week which does not help. Not having uploaded any videos we need to assume that his level is quite low and him not following through on advice of people here does not help. Of course people get annoyed with somebody claiming to be searching for help while ignoring every sensible advice.

FrenchFrog should stick with some beginner rubber that he can handle and spend the time at the table hitting balls preferable with a coach.

I had a similar old dude in the club when i started with table tennis. Let's call him Paul. It was good enough for me if he blocked back a few balls consistently, but what he actually did is simply holding the racket where the ball would come so the ball would somehow bounce back to my side. He was at the table tennis shop every two weeks and even though he was quite poor he always got new fast/bouncy rubbers and blades (mostly cheap donic stuff) and boasted about how light and fast his blades were and how i should also use these. He even affected his Son (who is already over 50) with his material talk and he was basically a laughing stock in the club, because he would advice people on how to play even though he would not (and probably never was) on any competitive level. We even got into arguments, when he claimed that the DHS Long 5 in his catalogue was a new blade, because his favourite shop did leave it out of its sortiment and then put it into the catalogue again. He was adamant that my old W968 could not resemble that blade because the tinted colour of the new catalogue image was slightly different than in the past.

Don't be a Paul and let shops rip you off and make you think any equipment will be your solution.
try to apply the feedback given here. You say that you know that there is no perfect equipment, but i already know that in the next month there will be at least 4 new threads asking for things that were already answered in here.

If you are really wanting to improve then you simply do not have time to EJ in your age. Leave it to the point where you dont progress with personal training anymore which will probably not come in your lifetime.

Yes apologize! Be sorry! You have committed a high crime of not using Butterfly product. You are sentenced to do 15 mins of Falkenberg non-stop, no break in between. Be afraid! Be very afraid!

I can relate, haha

so the one high school time I was involved with (basically 3rd place girls team in Taiwan this year) hosts teachers from Taipei city, to train and prepare for the the teachers cup.

So you get teachers from different schools coming over on weekends to train, these are normally 50+ bunch of people, who are amateur, about 5 people.

So after the training of say 1.5 hours, they would talk equipment for over 30 mins, and say what has better spin, better return of serves.

I swear, they can probably write a book.
