Looking good there Renz:) I see that you've improved, especially your footwork. Nice strong spins you got there buddy.

Your serve can be lower with a bit more spin though. I also noticed that more often than not, you'll get the points if you attack first (maybe coz you can use your FH). But if your opponent attack first you will end up being negative and losing the point. You can try to turn this around by being more aggressive with your blocks and counters. If you can't do it by putting more pace on the ball (punching the block is one of the way), try placing them better around the table, which will force him for a weaker follow up attack..and put you in the upper hand.

Another thing I noticed is that you very seldom loop with your BH against pushes. You have good FH loops, but not BH. Every so often your BH push pops up, and I can see scampering back to defend, and you ended up losing the point. The BH top spin loop doesn't have to be fast, just load it up with spin and good placement. Then you can open up the rally and use your FH loops:) Take my word for it, the BH topspin loop is a lot more easier to do (and economical) than the FH:)

Happy training buddy:p I always enjoy your videos, and I can see your improvements. It's good to see:)

Thanks for the compliment sir Azlan!
I am a bit passive with the pushing stuff, but then it still benefits me when i push it in a long and fast way...
The backhand looping is taking a lot from me.... My BH loop is so slow and has less spin.. BTW i am using Desto f2 on my BH..
i am a bit uncomfortable when i do backhand loop with power cuz the shot percentage is lower....still trying to practice it...
thank very much for your helpful tips sir :)

As I said, time to start working on the backhand attacking a bit more. The forehand is looking great, there's spin and speed variation, footwork is looking super. Service and backhand attacking should be your big focus now and we already talked about what you need to do for that :)

I will try to ask my coach (also my opponent in the video) to feed me some multi balls :).... are there any specific combos that might work out effectively sir?

Looking good renz. I just have to say that everything is looking tighter and tighter with each video. One thing I would suggest is shorten your back swing. A lot of players like to have this humongous backswing in hopes of producing enough racket speed, but except for underspin shots you don't really need it. It actually helps with recover time for your next shot when you don't have to worry about the huge backswing.

That's the only thing I noticed really so you're definitely looking solid. I wouldn't want to play you for money :p But good job with the practice and keep it up.

wow Poltery you have improved a lot !! lets see ...
1. look at your coaches backhand technique , its nice and compact . Lets try to put it in your game.
2. start focussing more on serve receive, do not,do not push long serves . Try to read the first bounce and see if it coming long/half long/short
3. request your coach to attack you and try to develop your block and counter loop.
4. Also, when he is blocking your loops he should be more serious and move you around. I think he is letting you attack , but then because you have a big swing on your forehand you need figure out if you can recover quickly or have to work on making the swing more compact which needs good blocks .

You are just keep improving, definitely almost a different play since you post the first video :D

But I notice that your push is always some what long? Although it may be due to the serve. Because I'm the type that like to do short-long push variation, so that I can make my opponent to do long push for me to initiate attack. But at least you are quite good now!
