The price you pay for the heavily government funded government health care. Don't mean to start any political arguments on this forum so I won't give my opinion on it haha.

This is for the road maintenance, but the health care and other stuff comes from sales and income taxes. (30% in Sweden !! 20% in Germany !!) Europe is perfectly fine paying these taxes to get what they get. it works for them. Our USA system is debatable.

Had a truck have an accident on the Autobahn ahead of me that snarled traffic all the way back to Frankfurt. Autobahn was blocked for a long time and when I finally DID get off the autobahn, there were a few thousand who had the same idea I had and killed any chance of making it to my destination in a timely manner.

Somehow snuck into a German club for amatures and played 5 hours straight. Hung out with the guys and talked for an hour while they drank a few beers and ate some food someone brought in.

I walked up and down that mountain TWICE yesterday and after the 5 hrs of TT, I am feeling my legs tired for sure.
